In the manga anyway it leans towards Akane (Kuro has a "younger sister" kind of role, or even "daughter" if you think of Akane and Keita as the parents).

Not that this really means anything for the anime. I mean, they did make him younger (so Akane feels older by comparison).

Well , its remind me To aru majutsu no index for the girl who like and seek food !(here kuro got a dog , index a cat ) and shakugan no shana for the turn of the situation .(shakugan no shana still is the best ) . Some authors like make a "contract" in the animes XD but here it was no kiss or something like that , heart exchange ?

While i was expecting it to, episode 2 was crap. To different from the manga, even the way they were contracted was changed and out of sequence. I had tried to watch it as a seperate entity, but i just couldn't get into it.

If ep3 dosen't blow me away with awesomeness i'll end up droping this series, plenty of better series on this season that beat it hands down.

Not only feels older, she looks older. It appears that he may not like her attention either. And add in the fact that his father actually sends him an allowance so there isn't much need for Akane in the anime.

Hmm... episode 2 is step down, imo. Episode 1 had some charm to it by making the setting of Keita's lying anti-social life more vivid, but the pacing here was quite weak. Needless to add, the out-of-place Keita powers-up Kuro scene was also extremely jarring considering minutes ago, he was scared shitless.

I'm not so much against the changes from the manga, since they've clearly opted for quite bit of extra elements like Keita's former friend whose Root turned K-ON manager and peeping tom among other things, but I am a little sad to see the trio dynamic of Keita/Akane/Kuro seemingly toned down. I'm not a big fan of gigolo money-leeching and women-beating Keita, but it was fun seeing the interaction.

I don't read the manga , but as you , if the episode 3 don't entertains me , i will drop it.

True i agree with this, though i'm used to 'sudden power-ups when they don't know the situation', so it didn't bother me as much. I just couldn't stop thinking of "This hand of mine glows with an awesome power! It's burning grip tells me to defeat you!".

Agreed, but doesn't it fit perfectly the "shounen"-ification? It falls in place quite nicely with every other change they made

Decent enough episode, but how they finished off the fight felt far too generic shonenish...He suddenly yells with a odd background and alls over quickly?

I really hope they don't mess with the main characters personality too much...His aversion to wanting to be involved in other peoples lives while simultaneously caring had a nice conflicted nature to it and be a shame if they wasted that by making him something rather blah like I fear he might after these events...

Hopefully I'm worrying over nothing...

Well he prob is going to take a stand in the anime. (Tis shonen were talking about here. We can't have a wuss for too long.) He was stating the 3 choices in the first episode, leaves open what he intended to do at end of ep. 1 and he fights in the second. Granted it was more self preservation in the second episode but still a fight's a fight.

to aru and shana, you right, this one is similar to them
and seeing that contract mark on his hand, that is similar to fate stay night
the author surely does really like to imitate other people's idea

can’t really avoid that nowadays….most shounen tend to have similar settings.

Actually if you read the manga version, the concepts and characters are rather original. Sadly, this doesn’t reflect much on the anime

By the way, this is a nice album cover, similar to the vol.2 manga cover. Could be a lot cuter if not for the hand posture.


As for the album itself lets just say it’s not to my preference

Instead the main char is the tsundere lol
