By the way, someone found out about the demo translation on /a/ and created a patch for it. You can find the patch in the same blog entry posted previously.

This game doesn't seem to be canon. I don't see how these major events in the VN can fit into the main storyline.

Don't know about making it compatible but the game is certainly Windows only.

The mechas had a nice touch to them.

But weren't experiments for the genomes done after Kurousu's death? Which means after lost christmas not before? So they weren't necessarily there when the actual event happened, but began research/experimenting a few weeks after Shuichiro handed the notes to Yuu? Hopefully we'll be seeing a lot of Yuu in this, since he's the only one who raises a fuckload of controversy.

I think that the translator has done one thing wrong - in the place where you choose there are two variants, and he translated them as Atonement and Reward, but translation program tells me that the second word is:
reward; recompense; return; punishment; retribution.
I think that the last two make much more sense within the context.

I think so too. Scrooge and Present abilities are way too different to everything presented so far in the anime. The possibility of it being actually canon still exists but we won't know for sure until the game comes out or someone from the staff speaks about it.

Present's abilities may not be Void genome based....it's not too far off from Mana's abilities. Also, if everyone related to this died or the information got purged or they all ascended to a higher plane or something then it's not inconceivable that no one left knew of this.

Scrooge probably either dies or ascends to a higher plane of existence. If the good ending is canon I can see either happening since his existence would be hazy in canon-verse.

I love Present though. "Is that guy seriously a ninja?"

If I had to guess, Scrooge's combat abilities isn't limited to a void genome. He might be closer to Daath Keeper. So it'd make sense if anything he touched got viral. I'm wondering if Carol is like this or if she's just a void platform like Inori.

I can't wait for the full game, since the people that did translated the demo are doing the full version too. Doesn't really matter to me if it's only a text translation without a game patch.
