Anyways, my WTF moment was when Astaroth appeared. She suddenly lost altitude and he helped her up without a line of dialogue or change in music. Scene made no sense.

Watched the first episode, now I really wish they just adapted the PSP game...

btw, in those days it was very common for nobles to be ransomed. Actually, from what I've heard armies were rather different to modern armies - rather than salaried professional soldiers, most of those fighting would have been actually somewhat independent. More like mercenaries but not necessarily operating in bands. You got a basic pay depending on your rough abilities/equipment, but that basic pay was just about enough to live on - the soldiers had to buy their own food etc. So why did such people fight. For the loot basically. When a town was overtaken or things like that, all the money earned (including ransoming off nobles) was dived amongst all the soldiers.

This might actually be watchable. Jeanne making all the boob jokes is hilarious as it is ironic. Sadly that's the only good part as the show keeps skipping around and not explaining how no oneseems to question Astaroth's presence.
