It might on pvp servers if those people are attacking the people entering the servers later in early access on the pvp able planets since they'll be at max level already.

Doesn't matter if they're maxed or not. They could possibly have crap gear and no leveled up crew skills (though I am only talking about people that are hardcore levelers, not people that are both hardcore levelers and crafters). That is also the point of pre-ordering, to get benefits from following SWTOR since the beginning and pre-ordering very early.

In any case, most people will eventually hit level 50, hardcore or not. The only real downside that I see is going to contested areas and being killed by the opposing side and not being able to defend yourself due to level differences (as mentioned earlier); however, that's bound to happen in any MMORPG really. There will always be lowbies wandering around and highbies killing them.

Yes I understand all that, I've been playing MMOs for a long time. I'm just saying it's kind of different when it could possibly happen before the game has even released officially because two players preordered the same game a few months apart.

Edit: Apparently what is happening is if you queue for a random warzone and it gets cancelled because not enough players you get kicked out with full xp and bonuses as if you won the warzone. Apparently this was known about in beta too.

Went to the lowest pop server I could find but the game was running even worse than during the stress test for me if that is possible. I need to build a new computer so badly, mine is so outdated.

Surprised you didn't get in today Hige. Thought they got almost all of Oct in.

Based off the sticky on the forums, most of Nov tomorrow, and then whoever is left on Friday.

Can't really play until next week anyways. $%#^%%$ preparing for a family reunion at our place this year sucks up all my free time away from work 'till next week.

Guardians got that male Obiwon feel, go male. save female for Jedi Vanguard or a more femaley feeling class.

I'd say make a female so you can stare at her butt wiggle while you run around for thousands of hours, but Guardians tend to have armor that consists of armored robes, thus covering said butt...so there goes most of the reason for playing a female character. Save your female characters for the classes that get to wear tight fitting pants. Of course, you could put the extra effort later on in the game to get yourself some Sith Warrior pants. They have a number of tight fitting ones that look good on females. I'd steer clear of the Bounty Hunter and Republic Trooper. Their pants tend to be heavily armored.

Cover is something you just have to get used to. That said, I agree. Operative all the way. Marauders/Sentinels and Snipers/Gunslingers get shafted imo. Being the 25% that have only one role kind of sucks.

Most people seem to want power and such go Sith Lord.

I was a Boy Scout...so I tend to go Jedi. Though I know plenty of Boy Scouts that will likely go Sith anyway. But I will likely wait until later to get this game. Need to be able to afford these MMOs you know.

That is one of the reason why I'm undecided, IT'S DAVID HAYTER!

But other than VA, which undoubtedly will be moot once I finish the story. The rest of the game I'll be looking at a guy character instead of a female. The story only last so long...and for a mmo I 'should' look at the bigger picture...but it David mutha fkin' Hayter!

AWESOME! I was hoping to get into pre-release Dec. 15th at the least due to finals. My last final is tomorrow at 7:30AM so by the time I get home I can hopefully play (since I'm a Nov. pre-order) xDDDD

I am, unfortunately. Most of my buddies/clan are going to play RP server. As much as I love PvP, I hate playing solo. I know I can always find a new guild, but why do that when you have friends in a previous one. I'll probably end up playing a PvP server later. Looks like I'll be playing war games most of the time =/.

So, is the main difference between a a PvP server and a RP server is that in a PvP server you are able to fight in contested areas without having to flag yourself? A friend of mine was pretty much saying that's the main difference but you probably get those commendations for killing the opposing faction (a type of "honor" system) in a PvP server, but I wanted to verify.
