I find the idea of colors being associated with gender to be quite annoying, honestly.

It's more like a matter of society topics.

If I say there's a family with a picture depicting a tortured corpse in their dining room everybody would conclude they're sick, yet If I say it's a Jesus-Christ then everybody would find it normal.

The same would happen if you asked in the topic if "skirt" were manly clothes, probably "no" would have won, yet go ask scottish how manly it is...

Well, Sean Connery could be in bikini with T-backs and be manly.

At some point in time pink not only became a manly color here but downright gangsta too.
To me it depends on the shade of pink you wear, some shades nobody should be wearing, male or female.

Yes. After all, a Victorian era brochure i read once said pink's a man's color while blue is a girl's color.

Hmm, no, because I have yet to see any pink articles for guys. I've seen people wearing pink shirts once or twice, but it turned out they weren't theirs (lol). I also admit it would be weird as hell to walk around in pink cargo pants or pink jeans (not even sure if they exist).

Speaking outside of dressing issues, colors are mostly affiliated with emotions rather than individuals, like greedy green, scary yellow, sad blue, happy white, etc., so unless pink is somehow GAR, I don't really know if the question still stands.

I'm kind of amazed that Vegeta hasn't shown up in this thread yet.

Let me correct that wrong....

Yeah, I think that picture addresses the OP's question very clearly, lol.

I've never seen a guy in a pink shirt that wasn't a polo. I've never seen a guy in a pink polo without instantly thinking, "Douche."

No offense to all the non-douches out there, of course. Just know who you're dressing like.

I am a girl too if you couldn't tell

I think it's too loud and bright honestly. It reminds me of the 90's.

But really I think any color (including hot pink) depends on if you can pull it off. And come to think of it, I think I do have a shirt that color, so who am I to talk.

Pink is the manliest color of all.

Girls and boys alike seem more badass when they wear pink.

Whereas wearing black makes you seem sneaky and cowardly.

I vaguely remembered that too, and found this interesting tidbit from wiki:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink#In_gender

Quote:
An article in the trade publication Earnshaw's Infants' Department in June 1918 said: "The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl."[18] From then until the 1940s, pink was considered appropriate for boys because being related to red it was the more masculine and decided color, while blue was considered appropriate for girls because it was the more delicate and dainty color, or related to the Virgin Mary.[19][20][21]
