Haha brilliant episode. Joining the chapters together with a good pace totally paid off. So many genius moments animated, from Furichi wanting to be pampered, more Oga x Aoi and total out of control misunderstandings regarding Hilda.

By far the best scene of the episode was Baby Beel's Kenshiro impression . I'm so glad that was kept in, and it was so much better animated. Sawashiro Miyuki's atatatatatatatata was spot on.

More filler next week, though it looks much better then the last two parter.

Have i ever said how much i love the OP? It totally bumps me up for an episode, each and every week. This is one of the rare occasions where i wished it would never changed.

More misunderstandings between Oga and Aoi. Especially about Hilda.

Like how Hilda was testing Aoi. I like the comment about her and Oga being in sync. Like how she challenged Aoi to get stronger at the end.

Can't believe Aoi fell for Miwa's trick. Funny how she admitted defeat after sering Oga get up unharmed. She was really cute in the school girl outfit.

Baby Beel keeps looking weaker and weaker. First he looses to a human baby. Now a cat. He's got to toughen up.

Well, this one is a faithful adaptation from the manga, and by that respect it is pretty good. I feel the comic timing in the intro of MK5 is a bit off though. I mean, them being defeated in 5 panels is their trademark from the manga, but I think it will be better if they're hyped just a little bit more before the fight (to contrast just how weak they really are), and a shorter but individual beatings as opposed to being split into three. Also, the fight between Aoi and Hilda is criminally short, although it makes sense and shows that Aoi is still a tier below Oga/Hilda.well, it really is that short from the manga, but if there's one part I want them to expand and blow the budget on, that would be it...

But yeah, that's just personal nitpicking of mine. The rest is pretty good, as far as Beelzebub goes. Badass Natsume is badass, and Aoi is really cute with that school uniform. Glad to see all (okay, most, Aoi still doesn't know the baby is literally a demon) the misunderstandings cleared, the re-match challenge will be waited. Oh, and Chiaki got more lines this episode, and they're pretty good.

So, next week filler is two-parter? So it's 2 fillers in one episode, and not two filler episodes back to back, right? Hmm, maybe I'll skip it, although I may check it out if it's good. Not confident though...

To be fair, I think an angry cat can be more vicious and dangerous than a human baby...

Yeah, that part was hilarious. Personally I prefer the one around 18:45 though, when Baby Beel and Oga was looking down on Miwa, both of their faces (especially Baby Beel's!) was very creepy, but in a funny way.

The fight between Hilda and Aoi could have been better. But it was a good episode because Aoi was just great whenever she has screen time. A hot tsundere that can kick anybody's ass is the best addition to Oga's little harem (in Furuichi's eyes).

I'm not sure what to think. On the one hand it was faithful to the manga and was awesome but on the other it felt like it was a load of still shots taken straight from the manga and coloured in. I loved it, but it didn't feel like a lot of effort was put in to actually animate it...
Both Furuichi's moments and the fights were awesome. Oga smashing Miwa's head into the ground split my sides when I was reading it and Aoi's cute moments when speaking to Nene about Oga made me remember how much I love Aoi.

I don't understand why there's so much filler, as long as it's good I don't mind but it's strange. There's enough of the manga to use so what are they doing? Character building?

That was definitely the best part of the episode. Baby Beel is still far from Kenshiro's level.

The animation went back to being crappy this week. The Hilda vs Aoi fight deserved a better treatment. That being said, it was still highly enjoyable episode, however it's clearly thanks to the original manga and not the anime's direction, which has been pretty terrible so far (I've read a few chapters to compare last week). I'm very tempted to just drop the anime and stick to the manga, but I love hearing Toyosaki Aki as Aoi...

Hmm, what to do? I guess I'll at least keep watching until the spring season starts.

Regarding the anime/manga decision, i'd say go read the manga. The anime has just been a lot of fun mainly for the adding voice work, which really adds to a lot of the jokes, so if you can be bothered with it after catching up with the manga, watch a few episodes here and there.

Dang, that arc went by fast. On one hand, a shonen series that doesn't take forever to build up fights is appreciated, on the other hand NEED MOAR AOI. When can we expect to see her again?
