I think Nintendo didn't want to know about Tales of..., after the Tales of Grace fiasco(the game was rushed to the Xmas and them to compete against FFXIII not a good choice indeed, and by that, the western leadership didn't want to bring it outside after found about the 'Improved Version for PS3')

Tales of Xillia 2

- PS3, release date is sometime in Winter, actual date will be announced on June 27.

- The main character is Rudger Will Krusnik (Takashi Kondo), the heroine is El Mel Mata (Mariya Ise).

- The game is set a year after ToX, in Elenpios.

- The character designs this time are by Daigo Okamura, a Bandai Namco illustrator and art director on the Tales series.

- Realistic proportions, third person camera, story decisions with branching cutscenes, etc.

- The battle system uses a weapon shift system where Rudgar can change in realtime between twin blades, a hammer, and twin pistols. Very fast paced and action packed.

- Animation by Ufotable once again, with Ayumi Hamasaki contributing to the theme song once more.

No, you won't. Your only chances are PS3 and/or WiiU. The 360 is a complete bomb in Japan, there's zero chance it gets another Tales. And last I checked, the Wii had more market penetration than the 360, so I wouldn't really say it's on top everywhere outside of Japan.

The problem with the Wii's market penetration is that most of them are gathering dusts since a lot of buys weren't conventional gamers thanks to Wii Sports (And Nintendo is going to be in trouble if lighting doesn't strike twice). Only Nintendo games sold well on that system, an RPG like Xillia is much better suited to the Ps3... as shown by Graces F selling more in its first week than it did in its entire lifetime on the Wii.

360 has slaughtered the Wii in America the biggest market since Kinect period, not an argument whatsoever. Wii is behind the 3DS, Ps3, PSP and Vita in Japan..... There's a reason why the Wii U is coming out this year...

This Tales game was always going to be on the PS3, Xillia was outstanding for them in Japan.

This also practically spoils the "twist" of Xillia. I'm completely hyped, because Xillia was tons of fun. Man, I hope the whole team from the first game comes back like Symphonia 2....

I'm quite hyped about this eventhough I never played the first one. I hope they'll fix the battle system and add more mystic artes

I'm a bit concerned that Xillia 2 might be even more rushed than X1, but at least that means they won't have the time for a Xillia director's cut, which might lead to Xillia2 being more complete than its predecessor.

Notice that in the screens. I don't know it just looks weird to me, and wrong for a tales game. Tales had always this kind of anime feel to it, but this looks like a cheap rendered CGI anime.

I didn't notice that it'll have story decision with branching cutscenes... Well I hope it will have big impact to the story rather than only affecting small and unimportant parts of it

They do? This is the first I heard of.
The male character design, for some reason, also reminds me a LOT of valkyria chronicles. He definitely has the militaristic vibe about him.
