A good episode to end a good series.

I find it damn sad to see mikoto get disected. If my wife gets disected like that, I will probably do worse than hakuro can ever think of. At least Yuzuha died more peacefully.

They are both halves of the same being, so at the end, Hakuoro forced them to be merged back together.

I like Hakuoro a lot as a character because even though he was Waitsuarumitea (or is it Onkami? D: ), he earned everyone's respect as Hakuoro, the man, and not the god.
Witsarunemitea is the name of their god. 'onkami' is just a noun meaning a great god.

The fact that there are still wars around and the hint that Hakuoro is returning leaves open the room for a possible sequel.

They did not go much into the detail of how and why Hakuoro was fighting and injured enough to make a contract with Eruruu, even though Dii said they are not supposed to meet.

Furthermore, they barely touched the subject of the petrified being that gave Hakuoro his mask.

Also, for supposedly really intelligent beings, I find the scientists quite dumb to not realize human feelings, dissecting poor Mikoto and having the nerve to tell her "husband" about it casually.

The ending was too fast and felt really rushed, so it was a little confusing at some parts. Overall, it is one of the better ending to a series, and the series is one of the better ones as well.

You're right, quite a bit of details were omitted in the anime.

I second that. When I first saw them running away from someone that Karuura apparently pissed off, I though to myself, what an unlikeyly duo they are. Should make great laughs if they did make a specialy DVD episode about them.

Yeah I thought the ending was a little bit rushed too. Can someone explain to me the whole stabbing him and sinking into the ground. Not like he can be killed or stopped, he's basically a godlike being who could destroy the world, yet the closure was so simple. So in the end where did he go? He fozzilized his own body again and left for the spiritual realm or something? UGH...ending got me thinking oo much >"<!!!!

i would think that he was sealed off "somewhere" and even tho he was godlike hakuoro wanted dii to be sealed off so in wasnt like hakuoro would be struggling but he would have been trying to drag dii with him...and the stabbing bit was to weaken dii enough so he cnt geat out of hakuoro...

Does anyone else notice this is ending is like that of Ronin Warriors/Yoroiden Samurai Troopers?

1. Leader uses his power to fuse with villain.
2. Leader holds villain down.
3. Teammates attack leader.
4. And for god's sake, there's even a white tiger!

All that's missing is that Hakuoro's hero units don't become nude as they tearfully attack him.

Also, the ending WAS like Old Yeller, except Old Yeller is the one giving the wild animal rabies.

AHAHAHAHAHA....Cardiac has a point kinda. Didn't think about that or noticed it, but you're kinda right. I still don't see how being stabbed by everyone even hurt him the slightest. While he was fighting with Dii, he lost an arm and didn't even phase him and then having Dii punched his arm right through him didn't even phase him again. Their physical body doesn't mater, they're made out of that black smoky stuff ~_~

Doesn't anyone want to shout, "Hakuoro and Eruru, how can you kiss while talking to each other!" Is it some kind of stomach talk?

The people who can make Kurura running away must be some kind monster, but these monsters are still scare Eruru's harsh stare.

The problem is that when Hakuoro decapitated Dii, he destroyed the vessel that contained the dark side of Uitsuarunemitea. Since Dii's body was dead, Dark!Uitsu had no other choice but to return in a living body - Hakuoro's.
Which means that Uitsuarunemitea is once again complete but, in the meantime, Hakuoro deemed that such godly powers were too dangerous for everyone's sake, especially now that the deity's dark side had come back. So he asked Urutorii and Kamyuu to seal him for the greater good.

However, when the spell was cast, on Hakuoro's orders, the dark side of Uitsuarunemitea fought back because it didn't want to be sealed again - which shows that the reunion between the two halves wasn't perfect and probably irremediable. In order to keep the dark half-soul inside him - the only living vessel right then, Hakuoro asked the others to strike him so that the destructive half-soul would also feel the pain and balk. The pain caused by the wounds caused the hatred-filled half-soul to relent and return into Hakuoro's body...and be sealed for good.

He didn't fossilize his body, just got it sealed away, probably in a separate dimension or whatnot. The fossil you saw was Uitsuarunemitea's earlier body, probably decayed through natural processes. Perhaps the deity's body wore down and he was 'condemned' to remain inside the bones until a willing vessel came by him.

Yes, but as I stated earlier, in the anime it seems more like Hakuoro is back as an ethereal being watching (in the shape of a benevolent breeze) over his beloved ones rather than a full-bodied individual returning to the UM world. In the game, it's definite that Hakuoro is back (read my earlier post, page 01 or 02) but no longer as a vessel for Uitsuarunemitea's soul (because we see Eruruu receiving Hakuoro's mask, meaning that the seal keeping Uitsuarunemitea's soul inside Hakuoro doesn't do its job anymore and Hakuoro is freed from his contract) - and not as a spirit.

I was half expecting a headless Dii to interrupt Hakuoro's and Eruruu's moment of love.

Yes, but that's your impression.
It wasn't depicted in detail, and it's up to anyone's guess.

I got the impression that Kamyu, Kuuya, and Aruru felt his "presence" coming back to the world, but Hakuoro himself may have appeared at Eruru's side.

Like I said, it's up to anyone's guess.
