I don't think there is, honestly the idea sounds as silly as Open Source Cola.
What is the point of that C2 image!?

I agree with that. I mean do people really care what the burger is called as long as it tastes good. And this burger ain't tasting that good. Also, well it tastes like a Burger King (Hungry Jacks in Australia) Whopper.

We had that with a certain type of dorito's(corn chips produced by lay's), which you could name. Never heard of a name it burger though.

ps; Cats already said it, but I'll also say it. What's the point of the CC sig?

The whole 'name-it' deal is just a marketing ploy, and a pretty shabby one. However, I tried this burger (without having seen the ads, I was on an interstate trip and stopped in at McD's as it was the only place around to grab a drink and a bite to eat at the time) and was honestly impressed with it. It's far more like a real burger you'd get at local joint than anything resembling a chain store burger. Though that idea may be alien to some people.

Also, the apple 'pie' that comes free with the 'meal deal' is really scary. Deep fried pie, not baked. So weird. o.O (Can you tell I don't go to McD's or chain places very often?)

We can tell that you don't go to fast food chains. When I go to the fast food chains I expect something that's fatty and tastes good but not a rip of like taste of some other brand like McDonalds did with the name it burger. It tastes like a hungry jacks Whopper. Its ridiculous. And I have had burgers at the local joint so I know what I am taking about.

Naked TV news stripped of subsidy, carries on

Naked TV news stripped of subsidy, carries on

Tokyo (Reuters) - An embarrassed Japanese government has cut the subsidy, but a Tokyo TV company said on Friday it would carry on making a striptease news show with sign language for hearing-impaired viewers.

The government made grants totaling 400,000 yen ($3,500) to help cover production of the weekly five-minute program on satellite TV, which features a newsreader who removes her clothes between news items that she delivers in sign language.

The funding dried up when the government, under fire for supporting "Naked Sign Language News," changed funding guidelines for programming aimed at the disabled to exclude pornography, local media reported.

"Of course we will continue making the program," said Shinichiro Fukuyama, a spokesman for makers Paradise Television. "We weren't doing it for the subsidy, we just wanted to make something viewers would enjoy."

Most people who had contacted the station about the program were supportive, saying deaf people had the right to enjoy the same programs as other people, he added.
Awww dammit. I regret that I don't watch news as much as I read them.

A row has erupted in the South African port of Durban about the meaning of the Zulu word eThekwini, the name of the city's greater municipality area.

While eThekwini may sound like some quasi-internet related word, it actually means 'bull testicle'.

Monkeys "sexually harassing" Kenyan women

A group of some 300 vervet monkeys have been raiding rural villages in Kenya and stealing food from the villages' farms. Because they monkeys seem only afraid of men, and not women and children, the women tried dressing in their husbands' clothing, but this tactic has failed.

Quote:
From: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6959209.stm

"When we come to chase the monkeys away, we are dressed in trousers and hats, so that we look like men," resident Lucy Njeri told the BBC News website "But the monkeys can tell the difference and they don't run away from us and point at our breasts. They just ignore us and continue to steal the crops."

In addition to stealing their crops, the monkeys also make sexually explicit gestures at the women, they claim. "The monkeys grab their breasts, and gesture at us while pointing at their private parts. We are afraid that they will sexually harass us," said Mrs Njeri.
If this is really true, it shows a remarkable level of intelligence on the part of the monkeys. Not only are they capable of distinguishing between human men and women, but it also appears they can comprehend the concept of lying. Or, perhaps these monkeys spend their off-hours hanging around construction sites and have learned a few "tricks of the trade."

The monkeys are protected by law so the villagers are prohibited from killing them despite the destruction they are apparently causing.

Are they following their primal roots and are suggesting that mens are the dominant and they shouldn't be afraid ^_^?

This made me laugh. -->> http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070824/...sia_usa_bomber

MOSCOW (Reuters) - A wealthy Russian tried to buy a U.S. B-52 bomber from a group of shocked American pilots at an air show near Moscow, a Russian newspaper reported on Friday.

The unidentified Russian, wearing sunglasses and surrounded by bodyguards, approached the U.S. delegation and asked to buy the bomber, the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper said.

An astounded member of the U.S. delegation said the bomber was not for sale but that it would cost at least $500 million (249.5 million pounds) if it were to be sold on the spot.

"That is no problem. It is such a cool machine," the Russian was quoted as saying by the newspaper, which said its reporter overheard the conversation. The bomber was not sold.

Russia's new rich, who built fantastic fortunes trading commodities and contacts after the fall of the Soviet Union, have made a name for themselves as ostentatious purchasers of everything from British football clubs to Faberge eggs.

All the villagers' attempts to control the monkeys have failed - the monkeys evade traps, have lookouts to warn the others of impending attacks and snub poisoned food put out by the residents.

"The troop has scouts which keep a lookout from a vantage point, and when they see us coming, they give warning signals to the ones in the farms to get away," said another area resident, Jacinta Wandaga.

There's these mountains called Mount Minou, where wild Japanese apes live.
These species are protected by the government.

Anyways, they are freaking MEAN.
They steal bags from hikers, especially the children. Children hikers tend to have snacks they like.
Junior High and Elementry schools in Osaka has long tradition of hiking the Minou mountains on a picnic hike once a year.
The apes will specificly go after kids, and wait till their eyes are looking away from their luggage or snacks, and rush in to grab, and run for it. The apes are very clever, and often try to use distractions and such to get people's attention away from their luggage so their buddies can come to snatch them.

So anyways, for us, apes being very smart and cunning are no "news" at all.
I'm actually baffled at how suprised these media journalists are.

Well, the story is from BBC News, and Britain does not have many monkeys/apes in it outside of zoos. As you can tell by my immidiate response.
