I concur with Klashikari. In addition to what he said
1. All your LBA should focus on the boss. The first LBA should have FP above 71.
2. With the appropriate LBA, you should be able to equip CVLs with at least 2 bombers.
3. Replace Maya's boiler with something more useful.

Standard equips, no +6 weapons. CVLs are full Fighter Mules, always get AS on nodes (500+ FP regularly). Maya is in AACI duty. Doesn't help in the least.

Limited Goddesses, or Damecon.

So far I've only gotten to the twins once, and only after I threw Yukikaze into the pyre (just kidding, she had a Goddess).

Standard equipment doesn't help to figure out what kind of setup you have. Some people still use 25mm concentrated AA gun instead of Bofors, or even use some weird AA combination.

You gotta be more accurate than that.
That being said, the utter absence of modding definitely doesn't help either.

Sadly I didn't try the CTF on hard myself it. This is also why I stressed it was on medium and others may have varying experiences. (except the latter part got accidentially deleted with the faulty replayer code) - Strigon's ship levels gave me the idea he does it on med though. - That was still on Hard though, on medium it got through most times.

I tried exchanging the CVLs for Hiyou and Junyou too, and while that gave far better results it off-routed my fleet and made me go circles in the north, if I remember that right.
I then tried to just make them fast ships, but that gave the same or slightly less AA than if I went with Shouhou and Chitose.

During my medium runs I later replaced one FBB with Maya and added Purin to the escort fleet for Night Battle damage.
And while the fleet at least got through to the boss, the end results I got where not as good as with the CTF;

I was close to sink her with the STF once while the same was the case for the CTF several times. I might have judged that differently though if I had tried ASW equipment to begin with.
Which is actually rather funny because I originally thought ' K, how am I supposed to kill her with ASW equipment? ' then saw she actually counts as a BBV and went with all normal equip lol.

Shouhou? You seriously wondered why you couldn't hold your ground in 甲 by bringing a very average CVL?

And of course Kidou would have better results in 乙 compared to Suijou, simply because the tsu class is no longer a threat in that difficulty. Could you please stop using your 乙 runs as if they were relevant? It becomes a pointless drivel with the context at hand.
The reason is simple: Kidou becomes easier in 乙 -if- you are equipped properly as if you were able to tackle 甲. However, someone like Strigon does not have the proper equipment as far as I can tell, meaning that Kidou advantage is hardly visible.

Shōhō? For a final map on 甲? Where is your Chiyoda? Your setup is not very well optimised and thus no surprise that you struggled on 甲.

I did used my Zuihou (loaded with good fighter) on E3 hard with Ryuujou so it can be done. I won't deny than if I didn't made the mistake to use my Lv99 Chitose and Chiyoda on E2, I would had used those 2 instead.

For landbases, I went full Air superiority in the first base and Full bomber loadout in the second.

Managed to get AS in the boss node, at the cost of losing all the chevrons on LBA planes. I'd say it worth the trouble, also blew some Irako and Mamiya's I had over there to get my ships to full sparkle.

General View of this event, a little more frustrating than Fall event. But the change of using the subs in an actual event, rather than Orel/2-3 weeklies gave me a quite pleasant feeling.

Now onto post-event LSC.

Well, I managed a clear. E-3 Hard over! Pictures later, as it's late, and I need a snooze.

Mostly kept the same arms, but I eventually had to swap out Akizuki for Ayanami on Last Dance. In the end though, Hyper Kitakami once more carried the day, as a final cut in hit the Twin princesses for 300+ damage.

Debating on whether or not I should try and get Hitomi though... She's a drop even on A-Rank after all.

well i will say this the chipping phase of e-3 hard was actually really easy up until last dance thats when things got hard. routinely i was able to get to boss and always A rank boss node each time i made it to the boss and only took me 13 sorties to get to last dance give or take. the LD on the other hand kicked me really hard. as i would get set back home more often than get to the boss, i just dont understand what happen because before it was rather easy to get there. anyways this was the fleet i used for the chipping phase

so after getting to the boss and still didnt get good hits on boss i eventually switched to this
