WTF, AKB0048 references? I mean, I'm not too surprised about Center, releasing new song as a sub-group, Ue Kara Mariko Nyaruko, but Hastur's "Even if you hate me, please don't hate Mahiro-kun--"... that reference (Nagisa's "Even if you hate us, please don't hate songs and entertainment") literally just aired LAST WEEK.
Colour me impressed. They most likely done the animation and recording just to slide that in. Talk about completeness.

My waifu is back after one long year... the world is beautiful again! My happiness can probably be felt within 1000 feet of my presence. I think I was on some kind of high the whole time watching it. That was the best 24min and 26 secs I've had in a while. All those references! All the spasms! All the energy! One of the best second season episode 1's I've seen too. The opening and ending were both wonderful! Ahh! I think I'm overreacting a bit, but it's okay! Everything is Okay!
I think I'm gonna re-watch this 5 more times tonight!

Well, its off to a good start. I didn't like the second season opening as much as I liked the first one but it was still one of my favorites of the new shows. Now, seeing that picture of OreShura is making me want to watch it again
Feel bad for the poor guy, aliens making Yaoi manga out of him Next weeks episode looks good, some thing tells me we are going to be having a lot more Yaoi than we did last seasonXD

I'm pretty sure I was not the only one who caught the Lucky Star reference by Kuuko. This episode crammed quite a number of references. The count must have been in double figures.
Loving the crazy humour, and looking forward to more next week. Is there any way to restore lost SAN points? |

Bewitch parody opening. 4th wall breaking. Lots of pop/cultural/otaku nods. Gundam enemy units. And the epic Rider kicks. Wizard, Fourze and W references instantly gave me a chuckle.
It's good to see you again Nyaruko.

In Call of Cthulhu, which the series always references tongue-in-cheek, the only real way to regain SAN points is by actually thwarting whatever nefarious plot the Abomination in question or its cultists were planning. And even then it's usual up to the GM/Storyteller's fiat.
Which is technically what Mahiro is doing all the time as he babysits his three freeloaders. Cthulhutech dispenses with this by just allowing you access to a Psychiatrist during campaign downtimes. Heh. Take note, you can only gain back SAN points up to the current total you have, but failed SAN saves constantly chip away at that total, to the point where starting characters almost never have the "default" starting 100 points.

Sorta hoping a reference of Akibaranger. With Nyarlko's battle armor upgraded with 'hugging Mahiro drawing' as part of the new armor ala Akiba Red
