Yeah, the entire treeline and much more was totally changed. I'm quite impressed. They look much better.

Anyhow, I forgot to mention this line from Hirukowashi-hen. Man, does Ryukishi07 love his incest jokes. Lets just hope Rena's dad never picks up the magatama. Also, the dog one I mentioned before follows this, so they just go from one dirty suggestion to another. Wacky R07 and his otaku jokes.

So, finally got to see what did they do with the usoda scene in this version since I missed this interview on niconico back then. Well, seems like they simply removed the animation and made a simple trembling ? Alright I guess ?

Besides, there was also the quiz with Miyoko's sprite. Well, seems like she has got quite a lot of them. Makes me wonder if it's used in any other part of the game.

Wait, that's all ? I guess they can compress files way better than at the ps2's time, since the latter wasn't that much smaller, which shouldn't make any sense.

I dont think so, the game is just image, sound/music, and video files. In games video files take up more than half of a game's memory. It isn;t anything heavy like a 3D game like Mass Effect or Sleeping Dogs.

Well, they are in higher resolution than before. Either being raw 1080p or 720p upscaled, so it seems they are under some form of compression as Matsuri was around the same disc size or larger. Also, there are far more arcs, sprites, backgrounds, CG's and so forth compared to it.

640x480 to 1920x1080, way more files (backgrounds, cgs) and at least two times more voice files that are undoubtedly in better quality. They clearly used another way to compress it, stop insisting that I'm wrong when you don't seems to know what tou're talking about.

I think that there is a good change that is the case. The PS3 and PS Vita both have a better processor compared to the PS2, which would make it possible to use more advanced compression techniques. The processor would make it possible decompress those files on run-time without noticeable lag.

Actually yes I do know what Im talking about. I always look into game files. video files take up more than half of the game data.

I'm not holding my expectations too high. The only thing that can impress me is voice acting featured in but that's not happening.

From what I can tell, this game seems to be an easy platinum like the Umineko games. Just auto advance, sit back, relax, and watch the arcs go by. Read those TIPS too, there is a trophy if you read all of the TIPS. I guess you are suppose to 100% the trivia mini game as well. You get a few more trophies doing so.

In Matsuri there was a part of the game where you can pick the heroine. In one or two of them (I forgot which one. Maybe Watanagashi?) you can choose between Rena or Mion meaning you're gonna have to play some arcs at least twice. I believe the option unlocks after you've finished it. There would be some changes like instead of giving Rena the doll Keiichi will give it to Mion.
