I might have a idea or solution for that. Name your layers. If you're using photoshop, double-click the name and if you're using canvas... I believe it's double clicking the layer.
I usually do that.. like this: "Hair Lines" "Body Lines" "Clothes" Just like that. After I finish all of the lines, check-check-doublecheck and then merge it, afterwards doubleclick the final layer (in Photoshop) and set it to "Multiply" , make a new layer, drag it under the original lines, and start coloring the bases like crazy hahah! Hope it might have helped.. I know it helped me, and prevented me from making more mistakes with the layers. |

You could also, first sketch the whole drawing, no need to have straight lines. Like you would actually sketch on paper. Then create a new layer, trace the actual lines, then delete the first layer
It's hard to explain...maybe I should create an example but I don't have a GT right now

@norikoko
What Kitsu means is more or less.. Take two pieces of paper, or two layers in photoshop. Draw/sketch on the lowest one. If you're done, move to the second one (top one), and re-sketch it, tracing your own lines. Then delete the "original" layer, so you're alone with the clean lines, ready to--- I mean, color them.. XD @ Ichigo-Sora NICE pictures! XD Especially the one with Ange and Mammon! =D |
