I see. I'm guessing you are including 1 as Tobiichi right? So if we have that, then that would leave Phantom, the 2nd spirit held by DEM and the first spirit correct?

Yeah.



Since apparently killing the first spirit would get rid of all the spirits, and Phantom is capable of making spirits out of humans, then maybe Phantom is not one of the spirits (Though it would still make sense if it was)- And if the first spirit corresponds with Da'at of the Sephirot Tree, then there would still be 4 spots left in the tree.

I'm honestly most curious as to what Kurumi hopes to achieve by accomplishing her goal, though.

Interestingly, the Japanese wikipedia lists Raphael as the angel associated with Hod while the sixth sefira Tiferet is associated with Michael instead of Raphael, i don't know why but further research brings me to this site that both are correct, Rapahel and Michael represents (or anything) both Hod and Tiferet together.

And considering Rinne is supposed to be not a canon spirit, it might be better to assume she is not a spirit that belongs to the tree of life, if by anything Reine has a better chance to be a spirit for that considering her name first kanji "Rei" (令) can also be replaced with "Rei" (零) for Zero

The title for that novel is "Date A Live Encore" and comes out on May 18th. I don't think it's the next actual volume in the series (as in not volume 8, hence why the volume number isn't in the title like with the other volumes), more like an SS volume like from Toaru Majutsu no Index or Shakugan no Shana.

I don't think this is substituting for volume 8's release either; this SS is coming out only two months after volume 7, while you can see that the average turnaround for the next volume release is 4-5 months. Seems to me like this is an "in the meantime, while you're waiting for volume 8" release. So I'd guess volume 8 will still be coming out 4-5 months after volume 7 maybe.

Obviously the main eye-catcher for me on this is Kurumi's stated appearance in this volume.

There are some magazines that feature LN short stories, do you know if Date A Live is in one of those? That would make sense as then this SS volume is just a compilation of stories already printed in the magazine and thus not something that took time away from writing the next volume for the writer.

I dont know for sure, but there are a number of short stories, plus the Date A Akihabara short stories, on Baka Tsuki, so I wouldn't be surprised.

And Yoshino's Date A Akihabara story translation just went up a little bit ago on Baka Tsuki.
