Just finished on episode 05 raw
Its fun episode though nothing much happen except the near end where he had a talk with masked guy candidate and the accidental switching of the item which is so expected to happen if its been highlighted in the table and she already mistake on printing it. Yuu and Chisato really had a good partnership but Chisato is too caring while I got the feeling that Yuu still sees her as a friend and nothing more. Also like the madoka cosplay but WHY HIM AS HOMU HOMU!!!! Up next is episode 06 raw which is also out EDIT: Episode 06 = the opening speech with nosebleed and going with a bang! the top 3 in the voting enters the presidency race and as expected on who those 3 are. Nothing much happen to except when Yuu-kun read Mi-chan's novel? or supposedly speech that got mix up with her inner thoughts that she write while also doing the said speech and also got printed and given to Yuuki in episode 05. Also the speech and nose dive of Yuu-kun in the stage

Why do I get the feeling that Yuki is doomed to have no one actually remember his name...
he should have been the Mado instead of Chisato...never underestimate the power of the fujoshi vote

The political intrigue in the show was quite exciting, even if the results so far were expected. It seems like a faction of the Public Safety Committee is turning against the president, and wanted to sabotage Yuuki's candicy for some reason. President Mouri seems to have an agenda concerning Yuuki; however, I have faith that Yuuki by the end will stand on his own without anyone's manipulation.
Yes, it was quite rich with Mifuyu and her "Bewitched" pun. However, I wonder how many of today's generation of anime viewers would actually even recognize that pun? I don't even know if they show re-runs of Bewitched anymore. I'm pretty sure Yuuki didn't know the reference. Chisato is acting like the depending wife behind the presidential candidate. I wonder if they will bring up the quote, "behind every great man is a great woman"? Although there are other girls I prefer (actually, all the other main heroines) before Chisato, she seems the likely end girl for him, since she always gets so much focus. Still, this series has been very entertaining.

LOL at the "Bewitched" reference, but I'm much of a"I dream of jeannie" fan. So, I'm expecting a reference, homage or parody next time, Koichoco! XD
AHEM-Anyways, both episodes are superb especially episode 6. Although, I don't get whats the significance of the narration of Mifuyu's "novel" in that scene. But it gave me goosebumps so yeah it's okay... There's one thing the director cant perfect though. I mean he's good at comedy, character development and drama. I think it's making the scene tense? The tabulation of votes scene doesnt feel tensing at all! I mean its the tabulation! It's just like the anime version of bakuman. The manga manages to make it tense when the duo awaits for the results of their ranking, since well it will be the basing if they will be cancelled or not. But in the anime version, the director fails to make it suspenseful... Which makes the anime version kind of a flop. All in all though, both episodes are great and expecting more next week!!!!! |

Mifuyu's novel ftw!
Also, I have to admit that I got lost with that Bewitched joke. Just like the other guy, I'm much more familiar with I Dream of Jeanie. I doesn't need to take a young generation to be completely unaware of that Bewitched joke. Those who old enough but don't like the show is sufficient. Now that I think about it. What if there’s a real cosplayer who cosplay as Chisato cosplaying Madoka? Will she (or he ) be recognized?

Ahh, a good two episodes to satisfy my needs for this anime
Before these two episodes, I was hoping for the story with Aomi being bullied would continue (My god, now that I read that back, that just seems cruel ) That episode was quite the sad one and I wanted to see someone stand up for her and do all that heroic stuff Nevertheless, these two episodes were still good and I enjoyed them both

Fun and games. Relaxing and enjoying the club activities. Yuuki's little clash with the school journalist was ROFL Aomi helping with the campaign was nice. well, not everyone was happy about it as Yuuki. So the election promotion finally started! It was nice watching them all get into it. The cosplay idea was just awesome, but yaoi thing was ROFL!! #6 The speech mixup really did a number on Kiba. Tatsumi, Shinonome & Yuuki - the candidates. Compared to the other two Yuuki went nuts with his speech. Didn't expect that at all. Waiting for votes part was pretty serious and kinda intense.

That said, this show is definitely growing on me and its gained a lot of depth that I didn't expect from the early showing. Gotta admit, though, I don't like Chisato. Every other of the main heroines is more interesting (particularly the archetype of Mafuyu) to me. There's just something bland and everyday-predictable about Chisato that's been bugging me, I guess?

Not a bad couple of episodes. I'm really enjoying this show.
One thing. Anyone else think that the way they animated the scene of Mifuyu talking about her "surgery" made it seem like it was in fact a pregnancy? Held out of school for a year, unconsciously moves her hand to her stomach while discussing it, seems sad while talking about it. If it's not, it seemed like an odd way to construct the scene. |
