Closers: Dimension Conflict (PC)
Closers: Dimension Conflict is an upcoming PC-based MORPG, being produced in South Korea. Set in New Seoul in 2020 (old Seoul having been destroyed 15 years earlier in this timeline), your extra-curricular activities generally involve dealing with all sorts of trans-dimensional monsters, as part of the Black Lambs squad. So far, only four playable characters/classes have been announced, but reportedly more are on the way. Siliconera recently posted a new gameplay video, showing the Ranger-class Seo Yuri:

You know, I'd actually be very interested if they made a CGI animated series of this with the game graphics. The intro was a lot more interesting than the actual gameplay (though the gameplay did look nice). Loving the band of misfits premise they have here.
And I'd shoot Kim if you kn- *is killed*

I was wondering if they were thinking of making a show out of this, too. As you say, it could be interesting.
(And supposedly, the UNION organization they belong to is in other countries also. Perhaps there could be spin-offs set in Japan, Hong Kong, or other places?)

The actual gameplay reminds me of things like Final Fight and Bare Knuckle/Streets of Rage; that's good. It helps that the devs don't seem to be assuming everyone has top-end PC hardware.
I understand that the way the game is structured, you don't have social areas (i.e. Earth Spacedock or DS9 in STO), which helps attenuate the 'clone army' effect. Specifically, that even with all the aesthetic tidbits you can buy/unlock, the fact that all the players are choosing from a pool of specific named characters quickly makes one wonder if someone's been mucking around with the (Spaarti cylinders/axolotl tanks; pick one). To attempt amplification of this point, I put forward for discussion the following: Perhaps it would've been better to leave those named characters in the background, and have the players get to create their own operators in the vein of something like TL2...

Update! So it turns out the Japanese version of Closers didn't end, it just transferred to a gaming company in Taiwan. Also, the casts voices have been changed in the event that Closers gets an anime adaptation.
And an official english version is now available to play.
