Yeah, it mentioned on talk between Kusakabe and Panda.
Toge (cursed speech user, Yuta friend from 0) was there before, evacuated all civilians as far as possible.

Oh, okay. Thought it was a bit weird there weren't people screaming or being turned to cinders with the lava and fire going everywhere.

I'd say the Fushiguro confrontation was my favorite due to the emotional value at the last second. Jogo and Sukuna are kinda horrible so it's hard to care for them especially after what they did to Maki and Nanami.

Not happening this time, sadly.

Mahito and Grandma curse user already mentioned their barrier rules is set to: prevent visibility (Jujutsu High didn't know what happened inside barrier); ensure no reinforcement to help Gojo (other sorcerer cannot enter); also increase amount of transfigured human (normal human can enter but get out).

So when the veil lifted, it simply: Shibuya became visible to everyone, other sorcerers can enter and normal human can get out.
All damage done by Sukuna and Jogo not instantly fixed. The story will be different if barrier rules also accounting damage to surrounding (thus Yaga complained to young Gojo for not erecting barrier before he help young Mei Mei and Utahime).

They aren't covering that up. Part of the city is just gone and people were in it.

This time I thought the additions were detrimental, with both Sukuna and Makora coming out as less impressive than in the manga. They made it super flashy at the expense of actual storytelling.

Sukuna was supposed to show us he's not only strong but also very smart by figuring out Makora's special ability after only attacking him 3 times. Similarly, Makora adapted to Sukuna's CT very fast, and he never lost a single limb. In the anime it's hard to understand how Gojo's ancestor who had the same powers (though perhaps not mastered to the same degree) was killed by it.

Animation was amazing though, so props to the animators, especially considering the hellish conditions they're working in.

Honestly I had a hard time telling what was going on for some of the fight.

Poor Yuji though. Honestly from a utilitarian standpoint, you could make an argument that it would be for the best to execute Yuji now before Sukuna can cause another disaster of that level or worse.

Ditto. The who-what-where-when is hard to follow on some of these fights.

Honestly, this one was kinda boring. Makora barely felt like an actual character as he didn't have a single line or body language leaving no content for Sukuna to work with. At least Jogo talked last week.

It's not a character at all.

Mahoraga is Shikigami.

Just like Megumi's Nue, dog, rabbit, elephant and toad. No talking.

One of Mappa staff made tweet that Mahoraga vs. Sukuna is only 30% done from overall process planned; they're grateful to people that understand their working pressure.

While I usually love dynamic fights, this one was a little too much. I could barely follow what's happening, and there was some inconsistency in Mahoraga's size (I swear it grabbed a train as if it was a baseball bat).

Malevolent Shrine and Itadori's reaction to the wasteland were awesome though.

I kind of understand now why sukuna was high on fishiguro.

he is such a bastard lol, knowing his time will run out and pick the perfect spot for itadori to see.

Yeah, there were times he was a giant, which is not one of its abilities. I really think they took too much liberties with that fight.

It seems like this has been achieved by the studio cycling through every single veteran animator that was still willing to work for them.

People have been gossiping for over a year about how Mappa is at the breaking point. Maybe it's finally happening?

RIP Nanami, the death that really hit me in this arc.

The cuts were apparent in this fight. That's not to place any blame on the animators considering what they are going through.

Issues with animation aside, what's up with this goofy music? I couldn't take fight seriously because of it.

Mahito feels like a blessing. Considering the fake Geto disappeared from the plot, Mahito feels like one of the villains who enjoy doing chaos and loves messing up with the protagonist just like that memory he uses on Junpei.

Still, sad to see those last moments of Nanami. Honestly, the flashback arc could have given those two more scenes rather than just that exchange with Yuki Tsukumo.
