If you consider "Hagane no Renkinjutsushi" to be "new," then FMA.

But, there is wide speculation that the anime "MONSTER," which begins its airing in April will be a very big hit since the manga was extremely popular.

I hope they don't. There is more than enough of that happening already.
Besides, if it's licensed you'll get it eventually anyway.

"Naruto," is not considered "new" as it is already a long series. It ranks up there with ONE PIECE as a Shueisha golden-time anime.

"Peace Maker Kurogane" is not popular as you may think. No child would stay up until 26:30 (2:00AM) to watch an anime when they have school the next day (especially on exam-crazed educational system that we live in). It is in fact, it ranks there with "Chrno Crusade" and "Yumeria" as a maniac anime.

For reference purposes, Video research TV ratings for the week 04/3/15~04/3/21 Top Ten Anime Shows by rating:

"Sazae-san" FujiTV 04/3/21 18:30 - 30 20.8%
"Chibi Maruko-chan" FujiTV 04/3/21 18:00 - 30 13.5%
"Meitantei Conan" NTV 04/3/15 19:30 - 30 13.0%
"Doraemon" TV Asahi 04/3/19 19:00 - 30 11.6%
"Atashinchi" TV Asahi 04/3/19 19:30 - 24 11.3%
"ONE PIECE" FujiTV 04/3/21 19:30 - 28 11.3%
"Kochi-Kame" FujiTV 04/3/21 19:00 - 30 10.8%
"NARUTO" TV Tokyo 04/3/17 19:27 - 28 10.0%
"Inuyasha" NTV 04/3/15 19:00 - 30 9.7%
"Tennis no Oujisama" TV Tokyo 04/3/17 19:00 - 27 9.4%
