Especially the scene with her dancing... I was seriously d'aawwwd by that. If that sequence is not turned into an ani gif I will eat my hat!

Beautifully put. She is all of those things. We have to give credit to the animators and writers, but I think Kobeni's seiyuu Terui Haruka also deserves credit. Terui-san is 26, but has only been a seiyuu for a little over two years. She has had nothing but minor anime roles until this one (eight different unnamed roles in One Piece shows, for example), but has done quite a bit of TV voice-over work.

As a guy who can't absolutely stand Key Animation characters, I agree.

I'm quite disappointed the revelation was revealed too quickly. I thought it would remain hidden to keep the mystery going. Other than that issue, it's still the same charming slice of life for once with where all the characters seem good.

Well then! At least I don't have to try and devour my hat now... and its disgustingly adorable!

As for revealing things, to be honest I did not feel it was "disruptive"... for me it flowed by as if it was the most natural thing in the world. But I am sure there will be plenty of other things and developments too - the series has not disappointed me once so far. ^^

Oh and by the way K. Chujo... I kinda meant to include the voice acting as a large part of the reason for Kobeni being as effective as she has been for me. I absolutely agree kudos are in order!

I'm happy with the voice acting as well. Nowadays we get a lot of recognizable and popular seiyuu in a ton of new shows, and sometimes I just get tired of hearing the same voice over and over, especially if they are already type cast as characters from other series in your mind. Hearing voices that don't get the main spot light often is refreshing for me.

For example, you would understand if you begin to think every short flat-chested tsundere character sounded like Kugimiya Rie.

Going by the general theme of the op and ed and a few other small details in the series (who in the city gets mail via arrow?) im guessing THAT won't be the major revelation and just a small blip.

It's not your fault, Kobeni. Losing your memory from that kind of accident is natural. Don't go blaming yourself like that.

I'm surprised that the specifics of what happened during Kobeni's visit to Hakuya's hometown was quickly dealt with. Now what happens AFTER that is going to be interesting, as now she's got this guilt about not remembering anything about the accident at all.

Here's a complete version of Mashiro's dance that I found elsewhere. The previous gif was missing the cute bouncing at the beginning.

No we have to wonder is Hakuya's slow personality is normal or he received some brain damage during the incident

Yeah ... I also felt sorry for her. Seems that Hakuya kinda picked up that she might do exactly this in the previous ep, too, and kinda anticipated that a kind girl like Kobeni would indeed blame herself if she came to know about it

I was actually wondering if the hair draped over the side of his face had been deliberately grown out to cover scars. Though now that you mention it it could be possible that his slowness could also be due to the accident....

I just knew that it would have to be turned into a gif!

One of the things I liked about the scene was the transition between hands on her hips and complaining about Benio's excesses and hating Sundays to turning on the tv and beginning to dance as if it were the most natural thing in the world....

I do feel for Kobeni. Of course wrong to blame herself for lost memories but understandable that she would react this way. Definitely ended the episode on a darker note before the ED brought the mood back up . Probably is part of the reason why Hakuya didn't want to reveal what happened. Well that and probably a sense of shame that he couldn't protect Kobeni from getting hurt. In the end all he could do was drag his injured body back to get help while having to leave Kobeni there.

Will be interesting to see where things go on this note. While Benio and Mashiro handle the comedy Kobeni does respond pretty seriously to things. As it stands she's probably going to be pretty down on herself for some of the next episode.

The comedy balance with Benio and Mashiro is actually working out. Mostly thanks to other characters intervening like Hakuya or Nadeshiko. Poor girl probably has had to put up with Benio's dual nature for quite a while...

Seeing Kobeni with her missing memories. I'm interested that there is a possiblity Hakuya didn't recovered completely from the accident as well.

Ahh.. this series is my weekly intake of high level of sugar. the HNNGGGG!!!! factor is overkill. Though episode 3 shed some light to their past but it doesn't solve who the siblings or what are they. In some flashback it show a silhouette of a wolf.

inb4 the wolf ate the young Kobeni and is assuming her form which is why the current self doesn't remember anything, because physically speaking "she" didn't experience it.

The native species of wolf in Japan went extinct decades ago.
