If you saw season one you should have seen the strong evangelion vibes the Freezing storyline has (the first pandora was called Maria, Stella and Lana grow "wings", the Nova come from "another dimension" to enact Armageddon).

As for why our savior's are called Pandoras, let's not forget the legend about Pandora's box:

"Only Hope was left within her unbreakable house,
she remained under the lip of the jar, and did not
fly away. Before [she could], Pandora replaced the
lid of the jar."

So the plot is about Pandora's training (and some in-fighting) plus some revelations about Stella (if they include the vacations, there will be some much rage when that is broadcast).

Wow never realized this had a Christian aspect to it. I gotta watch S1 again to get a feel for it again. But thanks for the info but what is gonna happen during this season you think?

The chapters aren't that long and seeing as you've already watched the first season, you could begin at chapter 38 and not get lost. It starts right after the incident with Cassie.

The problem with the anime lies in the source material itself... IDY has great ideas, but is never able to develop the full potential of any of his stories

Or the short version, if you want to skip any spoilers: essentially, Freezing is Wasted Potential, like everything else IDY does, and turns into your generic ecchi show with occasional plot that is in maybe a total of 3~4 episodes (oh, and plenty of girls simply being bitches to each other)

... and yet for all my complaining, I'm still going to end up watching this, and you can probably guess why (Hint: for the "plot")

Rather than the MC’s personality, it’s the whole story that annoy readers a lot. Like Maqin said, humanity is in the brink of destruction, but the Pandoras, who are supposed to be humanity’s ultimate defense, are too busy battling each other for ridiculous and egotistical reasons. Not to mention that many of those Pandoras act very much like bitches.

Yeah.. same here.. But I find Kazuya's personality more annoying so I mention it other than the other faults.... I need more intimate action between the two... like in Kanokon

I think you guys are forgetting that the Nova attacks occur once every 8 years and that gives Humanity time to get the Pandoras, and their Limiters, ready when the time of the attacks come.

Although, after the 8th attack, the Novas are starting to attack more frequently...

First, no, we don’t forget. Second, that’s no excuse for the Pandoras to act like bitches and fight each other almost regularly. They should’ve act more like humanity’s last hope and train harder while enjoying life. Not finding excuses to destroy their peers for childish reasons like "maintaining the pride of the seniors" and shit like that. IMO these Pandoras really need to be disciplined by the government.

And about what you said with "Pride of the 3rd years"... I don't think it has anything to do with "Pride".

The 3rd years are more experienced and have more knowledge than the 1st and 2nd years. It's like a chain of command; with the 3rd years being higher up.

If things go wrong in the chain, example, if the 3rd years let those lower than them on the chain get out of control and do nothing, the whole chain will collapse.

They're just trying to keep the 1st and 2nd years in line.

Now then, when do you guys think the season will air? And will Funimation license it for North American release? The have the license for Season 1.
