I probably shouldn't put too much weight on web polls considering how skewed they can be, but as a fan of this series I'm pleased to see it take the top spot in charapedia's poll about which series fans still anticipate watching each week. Kind of helps make up for its relative lack of popularity among my online and real life social circles.

I had noticed the show wasn't so popular with the female voters in that poll. Though interestingly the only person in my real life peer group who is very into the show is my brother's girlfriend. (Though I'm hoping my brother's opinion of it will continue to improve since she's making him watch it and they're about to move into the second half of season one. )

Seraph of the End is also IMO a very underrated show that doesn't get much love from this forum (apart from debaters of skill greater than I), but OreGairu being number 1 in that JP poll is of a no brainer. It is a very wordy show, so I imagine a lot of nuances is lost in translation (even moreso in the novel where I have read up to middle of the 3rd translation and its littered with footnotes ). So while I do enjoy Euphonium and Soma more, I can see why this is so popular in votes since the first one was very well received as well in JP polls.

What the fuck did I just watched?
That meeting just made my brain bleed, especially with that highly-confusing corporate terms they're throwing around. Oh, well. At least the interaction betweeen 8man and Iroha is quite entertaining.

Good ep. Can't wait for the subbed version to come out so I can get a better grip on what's happening. What I can gather, 8-man's having to fight tooth and nail to get PHB to even consider any degree of actual work; he just keeps saying that they need to do more brainstorming and prioritizing and all kinds of business terms that, while important, only matter once you've actually decided to DO SOMETHING. Looks like he finally broke through enough to get them to make suggestions, all of I'm guessing which were either too big for the group to pull off or too much work to complete with what time they have left.
Nice to see Kaori show at least some degree of consideration. Maybe she's at least learned that it's not nice to laugh at him in front of others. Still got a ways to go before she's even remotely likable, but at least now she's not just downright mean. Now if only she could quit posing and trying to sound smart and supportive. I'm pretty sure she said "Preach it!!!!" at least 20 times, and that's only including the statements that were included in the episode, so really she may have reached 50 to 100 in the meeting itself. Of course, for that reason I really loved the preview this time. |

Lol, I was waiting for Hachiman to say something like "I want to protect that smile"
Good episode overall with the student council (found it more sillier than last time with their brainstorming tbh). Then, there's Yukino who is aware of what Hachiman is doing. As always, I find the inner dialogues and character interactions to be interesting in this episode/season.

Isshiki joins the Sleeve-tugging Club this episode. Good job with all the little details feel.
The event is predictably bogged down by the indecision of the committee so nothing much happens. Even with Rumi's reappearance Hikki finds no peace even if someone did benefit from his flawed methods, as his inner turmoil is further stirred by Yukino's admission that their relationship has been torn apart.

This is really getting boring, the only worth watching was Yuikino and Hikki dialogue at the end, else pretty much nothing happend at all, except the reintroducing of Rumi.
ps: I would have punch the other president in the face if he talk to me like that when the event is only 1 week away... coordination and organisation need to be in time and precise and not that wishy-washy trash talk when only some days left. |

Wow, I wanted Hikigaya to just slap Yukino and yell at her what's her deal. I was hoping for a bit more, but the way things are going something is going to happen soon. I love how the whole awkwardness was portrayed, it was brilliant. No one feels good about the situation but everyone pretends everything's okay. It's got to backfire.

We don't care for his akward hands animation and it's not building any tension (besides my nerves... ). Please, can we be done with this with the next episode ? |

If this was the old Hikigaya he'd demolish Tamanawa's pretentious ass while making a villain of himself. Which is why it's commendable that he is searching for solutions that doesn't involve his convenient self-harming ways, this shows that he is willing to change and understands that people do care for him and they do get hurt whenever he is hurt. But Tamanawa isn't budging and they're clearly running out of time. You'd expect Irohasu to be fed up with his crap and starts mowing him down, but rather she's becoming more reliant on Hiki instead. Not good. He can't babysit her forever no matter how cute I find their interactions are.
I'm quite disappointed with Yukinoshita for calling it quits. They clearly had high expectations with one another and they both fell short. The difference is Hiki despite being bummed about it, didn't give up and even blamed himself for having such high expectations in the first place. He reached out to Yukinoshita and saved her from Sagami. Oh and it's nice to see Rumi again. She's back and cuter than ever. Her situation didn't change much though she's still lonely and alone. Glad to see Hiki helping her out. |
