So Makima was omitting the part where she made Angel kill everyone in the village he lived in and loved the people in it when she first told Aki about Angel. Damn, this woman is ice-cold. What is it with Fujimoto and drawing dangerous women, lol? XD
Poor Angel suddenly remembering his real past and being unable to stop Aki who is already brain-washed by Makima to follow her orders, damn, poor boy...

That was another awesome chapter! Gun Devil is sick! Really love the way Fujimoto does his paneling; you can tell the guy’s a film buff - very cinematic.

Oh, and Makima’s desire for peace at the cost of freedom or America’s genocidal tendencies. Ohh, boy!

Aki is on that huge death list and shows deceased when chained to Makima.
Aki wants to change the future so he contracted with Makima.
So is Makima keeping her bargain by letting Aki die first to avoid the Aki & Power both killed by Denji future?

Narration said the activation of their abilities were recorded, so she's using their powers. It's still possible Aki "took the hit" for her when she was shot though. The others besides Angel were all already dead.

America's president asks the Gun devil to kill her in exchange for one year of every American citizen's life. He is of course killing everyone in his path. Seems like Makima was planning for a direct confrontation all along and he's the one she was waiting for at the beach. Oh and yeah, Angel tried to attack Makima but was made to submit too. __________________

Kanon Kana Hanazawa ♥ Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: France Age: 37	Spoiler for 76: Gun devil continues his rampage, and finally reaches Makima, although he keeps his distance. He shots her through the head, with the narration noting this is her 29th observed death, and of course she's just fine. She links Aki, Angel and a few other devils as well as inspectors with contracts using chains coming out of her body and combines their abilities to attack the Gun devil. The end of the chapter switches back to Denji. There's apparently someone at the door of Aki's apartment, and when he's about to open it, there's a flash of THAT door and Pochita saying he shouldn't open it... This is so exciting! __________________

More specifically, the Gun fiend who has taken over Aki's corpse after Makima kicked his ass. Aki's consciousness seems to still be around, he's trapped in some kind of dream land. I'm probably being way too hopeful, but perhaps he'll be able to turn the tables and go from fiend to hybrid? Anyway, for now it looks like the future is still the same. This explains why Denji would kill Aki, but not why he'd kill Power though. __________________
