@ Demi - Depends on the type of story, really. If its a serious one then a lot of exposition is expected. It helps to mix exposition with story.

@ Senpai - Still can't help but think any romance will end in tragedy.....especially since idols have to remain 'pure'.

I hate action scenes as well. Any tips to make it 'flow' better?

....What the heck is rule of cute? Also, Fanon Accelerator doesn't seem to be that different from Canon Accelerator, judging by the fanfics. There was that one Shouta Accelerator fic when he was de-aged, but he turned right back to normal

To be fair, most Shonen Heroes have traits of the Gary Stu.

Souldn't he be considered liable for his crimes considering the severity of them? Kidnapping a National Rep is a pretty big deal.

Need to step up writing Reversal. Would Chifuyu be friends or rivals with Tatenashi if they eere the same age?

The Infinite Stratos Research Institute is a government funded laboratory that was made for the sake of centralizing the country's IS related technologies. In accordance with the Alaskan treaty, they systematically compile all data and present them with yearly reports in regards to the latest the country has to offer. This is done to ensure that all IS related technologies are properly reported to the international community, otherwise unregistered companies who did not submit proper reports would be branded as specific violators of the Alaska Treaty provision which dictated the publication of all IS related studies. In short, it was a way for Japan to spare themselves of consequence on the national level and just isolate the consequences to a smaller group.

However, the institute was soon shut down. This is due to the third provision of the Alaska Treaty which is that Japan must establish and operate a school that will provide instruction on the proper methods and ethics of piloting an Infinite Stratos for the sake of regulating the proper usage of the dangerous mobile weapon known as the IS. This establishment is called the IS Academy or ISA.

With both institutions running side by side, the Japanese government found themselves failing to deliver the necessary funds to both while still maintaining proper budgets for the country. In effect one had to be shut down. The choice was obviously the IS Research Institute. The place was only treated as a fail-safe to deny responsibility for a misstep or oversight of a miniscule piece of information. It was more pressing to continue ISA's operation as ceasing would give every other country the excuse needed to swoop in and make unreasonable demands on grounds of breaking the treaty. Then again they were already making unreasonable demands.

But instead of closing down and fading into obscurity, the institute was saved by the purchase of a businessman. No one knows who he is or what his trade is. All they know is that he had a lot of money and decided to burn it out on a dying government property. With the new owner, the Infinite Stratos Research Institute was effectively reborn. Instead of acting as a mere fail-safe, it would act as the pioneer for the future of IS in every facet.

That's why it no longer ran in any way that would be considered logical. It was a purely idealistic setup. It was a place people could go into and exit without feeling cheated nor did they feel they had a vast advantage in entering. It was a place that would make anyone and everyone who came and go satisfied. That is what ISRI would be.

The requirements to enter ISRI were easy. Just register an ID card, and that was it. With that ID card, you would have access to ISRI's resources, past data, present data, training fields, gyms, laboratories, development hangars, testing equipment and fields included, even living space with food and amenities. You name it they provided it. It served as the perfect haven for any and all affiliated with IS. Even those looking for actual jobs and workers for IS related things came and go, turning ISRI into an information hub for everything. As much as people wanted to keep their technology secret, ISRI was the perfect place to publicize products, this meant that commercial IS developers could place their non-classified projects on display proudly and let everyone know. Certain companies that sought out jobs to be done, such as test pilots of a certain aptitude or requirement could be easily procured. There was no two ways around it, ISRI was built to be the holyland of IS.

Ofcourse all things are never perfect. ISRI still had to make the minimum cut to keep itself running. So despite all the services, whatever income was generated through ISRI would have anywhere between 10-20% cut as brokerage fees. This would include all the free training that was being done. To give people incentive to work more, ranks were given to each ID that was handed out. The higher your rank, the better your benefits such as lower brokerage fees, lower food costs, lower room rentals and job information priority. ISRI was the place where people who want to live off the specialized trade of IS exist. If not for the cash, then for the insanely idealistic thought that humanity would advance from moving into this way of life.

The only problem now is determining how this rank system works and how each benefit differs. :/

The packs are there, just cloaked from view. The costume changes are optic camo projections. All weapons cannot fire from cloak limiting use in combat.

The Vandam has a Skeletal Battle Order mode which is just a core attached to a pilot suit. The rest can be attached using impulse style remote launching. Later this design is incorporated into the other idol's units.
