Well, it's hard to create something TRULY original and made it work, these days. Two, three, or even hundreds upon hundreds people have same ideas, there are more than six billion brains in this world, and at least half of them should be productive...

That said, the black sword design is awesome, and the white knight seems to take the latter design of the anime, rather than the older one.

And still a major player in it, rather than introducing Kanzashi, or something along that line. And yes, V7 is REQUIRED to see her development, if any. Because Kanzashi is highly essential, now where this going again? Oh, two and half, really. And this is why I said V7 Tatenashi is far more likeable to me.

Bear in mind: all of it is personal viewpoint that I won't shove on anyone.

Not quite, it's actually a Uchigane. She runs with the Uchigane where others would've automatically stayed away from doing so like a plague. Canon may disagree, but I would like to think that the IS has legs for a reason, that reason.

It's one of the things that sets her apart from the rest in the Academy aside from the other fact that she'll never use both hands to handle a single sword.

"Going to comm blackout for mission integrity, starting now," she spoke in a huff, switching off her communication channel. Geez, Yamada-kun was always speaking out against her when she did this. It wasn't like she was going to assassinate someone. Using her enhanced night vision, she very carefully pried the roof tile up and set it aside before lowering herself down through the hole to the right of Ichika's bed. Quite thankfully, her suit was no larger than one of those futuristic cat-like cybersuits of old manga fame and she of course maintained her figure with a very strict diet and workout. Of course she wouldn't deploy her weapons either.

Landing softly, she noted that her balancers and noise reducers were working perfectly. Standing up, she quickly ran a scan. ... good, both were asleep. She glanced at the other bed where the Student Council President lay. ...damn girl, using her power for something like this. She didn't want to appear desperate so she had a student take over the role of 'bodyguarding' her little brother - for now. Even the name of the Sarashiki Family wouldn't keep Phantom away from him for much longer. She shook her head. No, this was a job for an Orimura - her job. One that she was sure she could fulfill to the letter.
She regarded the target of her protection, watching his chest rise and fall, his face blissfully unaware of the trouble she was going through just for him. A small smile appeared on her face as she reached down and cupped his cheek in her gloved hand, her thumb rubbing against his nose lovingly. His little snores were so cute. She found herself lowering her head closer to his and stopped when he stirred.

"...nnnfuyu...nee..."

The elder Orimura felt her breath catch. Was he really saying her name in his sleep? While a part of her wanted to suffocate him with his pillow for a few seconds, another part of her felt almost giddy. He was thinking of her still, always still thinking of her... Feeling a small burst of determination, she lowered her head to his and pressed her lips against his forehead. "Ichika... Rest easy, otouto. Nee-san will protect you as much as she needs to. So get strong on your own terms." She then placed her lips directly next to his ear, "But Neesan wants to be protected too, so hurry." With that, she let her lips brush right next to his as she pulled back, lingering a bit on the contact before standing up.

"I love you, Ichika," she murmured. "I won't let anyone take you away again."

With that, Chifuyu leapt up through the roof of the room, vanishing into the darkness.

If Izuru use armored core as clue, this one can still be fast. Besides, it has not much in terms of armoring.

That's why she's got a highly mobile Chifuyu to be her defense while she takes out the enemy. Chifuyu is obviously a close-range while Yamada is long range. I imagine that despite the size difference, Chifuyu is the actual offensive unit while Yamada is the supporting artillery.
