Well, it sure doesn't help that people pointed out that the bow shape of the head on the Re-Class' "tail" looks suspiciously similar to an Idaho-class battleship's bow... Except the only battleships on record to ever have torpedoes were (pre-war) British battleships, and THOSE never launched interceptor planes or dive bombers.

Yeah, Re-Class is just a nightmarish chimera, with no historical basis at all.

The best theory about Re-Class than I have read so far was than it was actually a representation of a fleet and not of a single ship.

Who know, maybe the next Shinkaisen might be a group of PT boat ?

More like Re-class is like a juggernaut class ship. it's a carrier and a full fledged battleship with torpedoes. lol.

But honestly, I think the Elite class stats should be used as the Flagship, debuff the regular and the elite class.

Or maybe, the Re-class is the Shinkaisen's version of the japanese ideology of having a ship fight multiple ships much like Japan intends to do with quality vs quantity in WWII.

Anyone know how could I clear quest

Deploy the aviation battleship fleet.

Consists of at least 2 aviation battleships. You must deploy to world 4-4, and obtain a victory at the boss.

I had deployed and won twice (with Ise/Hyuuga) (one without sinking the boss, one I sunk it) yet still unable to clear it. Anyone know why?

Wasn't able to follow the latest set of tweets (it got buried in my timeline when I got home), but can anyone confirm that we're getting an allied-NPC for the Midway event? Are they just confusing Sakawa, who's supposed to be one of the ships added for it (likely as a reward or drop)?

We are getting one of the NPC as a new playable ally, as a new ship type, on top of the already announced... er... hinted release of Amatsukaze and Sakawa. They've also hinted that she will be found in the "deeper sectors" of the event maps.

And no there isn't any news that says it's going to be Midway. In fact, we aren't even sure whether it's going to be a large scale event like November at the moment given its short duration.

There will be 4 new kanmusus, and 2~3 new remodels planned to be released along with the event.
There isn't any CV included in this update (a.k.a. not Shinano).
New remodel (unspecified number or which) will require a new, non-cash shop item to upgrade.

That's what most of us would like to think, though the way they suddenly go out of their way to specify that out of nowhere feels a bit suspicious, almost like an indirect message to speculators: "Nope, not this time."

I don't deny the possibility of them trolling us with words though. There had been twitter exchange between the KC staff and the artist who did Yamato/Nagato/Shimakaze, and not once but twice on two very separate date (first time about two months ago, the other just yesterday), both times hinting completion of 'something'. It's possible that he worked on not just one but two kanmusu (Amatsukaze and Shinano).

Might also be possible that they will release Shinano as battleship, then use the new item thing to "remodel" her into aircraft carrier.

Since I'm fond of aircraft carriers, I want to believe that one of the new ships will be Shinano.

I though than it was made mention of a non-money item, not a new one. If so, could it be the medals than we get from 1-5 or 5-5 ?

Urgh, medals. I seriously don't want to hit 5-5 right now, especially with the event so close. The place is a massive resource sink, what with Res all over the place.

And four more ships? If it's strictly IJN, then we're REALLY running out of big ships -- we're pretty much down to escort carriers and destroyers after Shinano and Sakawa.
