Wow, the story of Nagi and Arika keeps getting better and better.

So Zect was a demon huh? But what was that with him fading away? Was that Zect himself or was that the mage of the beginning possessing him or something?

And it seems like only Al and Nagi knows exactly how Zect "passed away". Wonder why Al wanted to hide it.

So, onto the juicy parts. It seems like Ricardo was/is an enemy. Seems like he made the uber death magic stronger on purpose, just strong enough so that Arika would be able to seal it but the islands will collapse later and she'll be called the Queen of Calamity (My guess...I'm still confused. That's what I'm thinking since Ricardo is drawn with the shadows covering his eyes, which means EVIL) Why is Arika bleeding at the end there though? And Godel said that the Hellas empire is another obstacle...does that mean the TEN YEAR OLD princess back then had an elaborate backstabbing plan like that? And what about Seras?

as i saw it, Zect-sama was some kind of demon who Nagi had promised some kind of change. maybe in exchange for it was the promise in exchange for magic potential or something.

I think he just returned to the demon world or something.

I wonder if Rakan's "that old demon" really means Zect was a demon or if it was just figurative speech. Well at least a human he shouldn't be. And as Nagi was about to say something about him just after Eishun and Rakan said he died, I feel like maybe he didn't actually die.

yea, i know what you mean, the chapters seems like its providing more questions than answers. I got lost when Arika was attempting to imply something to Nagi but decided not to, than at the last chapter when Arika is facing this....intense situation.

Guesses:
- Gödel wanted Negi to kill him so that he'd become, well, a murderer. Because he thinks only those ruthless enough to kill others are able to do anything.
- Different definitions of "saving the world":

• preserving the statu quo (probably the governments' position)
• evacuating all the humans back to the old world and let everyone else die (probably Gödel's position)
• killing everyone by returning the Magical World to nothing/Mars. (Fate's position?)

No, it was a pretty literal "demon" (妖怪) though that translation isn't a good choice considering the actual demons are called differently (悪魔). "Phantom" or "spectre" would be closer.

But that what I means, to call something like that seems to me of just a rude way of calling someone old, like calling someone a old hag. But then I can be wrong. If I would guess of what he is I would say a vampire as it seems stange to me we didn't seen any other vampire till now.

May I point out that if he was a vampire, where would his fangs be? In all the close ups we have seen of him, there are no fangs on him, as is with Eva on the other hand when she is powered up.

That alone should kill off any idea of Zect being a vampire. Plus, he faded away much like Von Herrman did. So my own bets is that he's a demon.
