When was the last 10/10 anime you saw?

For me it's 'Made in Abyss'.

oh.... of course. 3-gatsu no Lion. I have to watch that, I forgot about it since Enzo threw it off a ditch. Thanks for the reminder!

On my own side it'd be Shouwa Genroku Rakugo, both seasons.

The first season is good, but the second season blows it out of the water.

The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls 2nd Season

Land of the Lustrous might get there depending on how a 2nd season would go

The last one was Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, which I watched last year for the first time.

I'm a harsh critic. Made in Abyss comes close, but Madoka is the last 10/10 for me.

Sakura Quest. I strongly related to the characters because I'm at that stage in my life where I'm still adjusting to my career despite having been out of school and in industry for two years.

10/10 is Hard as you need an anime not downside any kind for you...might be Tanya the Evil, fullify the premise and the characther development and worldbuilng was incredible, never seen in years, Made in Abyss might count too.

Other come Close, Cross Ange, Atom the Begin, Alice to Zoruko but are like 9,5/10

I'll second this. It took a few episodes to get going, but once it did... Damn. (Though I'm using Anime Planet to rate my anime now.

Looking again at the top 10 favourite anime series listed in my public profile, I'm struck by how long it has been since I've watched a "10/10" anime. Ratings are, in any case, a subjective affair, and some are more liberal with their scores and "masterpiece" epithets than others.

Among my personal top 10, if I were to be strictly impartial, only a handful would qualify as "landmark" shows against which I would measure all other anime.

Cross Game (2009/10)
Seirei no Moribito (2007)
Mushishi (2005)
Kino no Tabi (2003, but watched in ~2005)
Other "10/10" not in my top 10 favourites:

Usagi Drop (2011)
Kemono no Souja Erin (2009)

Recent series like Made in Abyss and Houseki no Kuni are strong 9s, or even 9.5, for me. I enjoyed them tremendously but, at the same time, they lacked the undefinable "extra" that would make them memorable for all time to me.

To underscore my point about the difficulty of separating subjectivity from impartiality, Haibane Renmei (2002, but watched in ~2005) will forever remain the most important anime series to me, regardless of what few technical flaws it has that keep it from being "perfect". It's for sentimental and other deep, personal reasons. It was the story I needed at that particular point in time, which changed my outlook on life completely.

But anyway, to answer the OP: It's probably Usagi Drop (2011). That's my pick for the most recent "10/10" anime I've watched.

Hmm, that's probably like Hunter x Hunter (new one)

Never given an anime 10/10 so far. Psycho-Pass S1 was the last time I was tempted.

The only show I ever gave a rating in my entire life was Ore, Twintail ni Narimasu because it's entirely centered around my fetish.

The anime series Mononoke and Mushishi are both 10/10 for me. So underrated! also Cowboy Bebop for sure.
For newer series My Hero Academia and Haikyuu come close, I might would give them that type of rating. Both are really fun but just don't pack quite the impact as the other's I've listed.

the last anime I gave a MAL 10 to was A Place Further Than The Universe, just this past Winter season

It was already a very strong 9 at the very least, and then Episode 12s emotional rollercoaster arrived, and cemented it not only as a 10, but one of my personal top 3 anime of all time. Its only a 10 because I can't give it an 11

If an anime causes me to be depressed for several days, its done its emotional reach far too well
