Well, the Warriors are not only battling a suddenly fired up Lebron, but the refereeing as well, they are getting strangled by the refs play by play, all with the now acomplished objective of the NBA, forcing the 7th game.. Now is only a matter of wether they allow game 7 to flow normally or the refereeing trend continues...

The injuries had nothing to do with the refs. Injuries probably denied Golden State a closer. But hey, they denied Cleveland any chance last year.
Neither did Steph or Clay shooting at around 30% most games. There were some bumps but nothing of the Oakley/Malone/Stockton/Laimbeer/Bird level. Cleveland and Lebron makes history. Lebron now has a proper legacy - he went back home and got Cleveland their title. He instigated a 1-3 comeback. He came up big in the clutch games. Kyrie also validifies the way he plays and the advice Kobe Bryant gave him. Steph and Klay - awesome shooters. But...Klay ran his mouth off too much when they were 2-0 up. Better than Jordan's Bulls or Magic's Lakers?! Say that after you win the series...not before. And say that once you get some more rings. Steph - you were a gun all the way up to the Finals. You only had one top echelon game in the Finals. Klay only had 1. Lebron had 4. Kyrie had 2. Golden State are going to be known as the team that did the record for most wins in a regular season but blew the one set of games that mattered. The NBA's version of the New England Patriots who went 17-0 and lost the big one to the New York Giants. Now it's time for Curry and Thompson to have to deal with the legacy spam along with Durant. Lebron's doesn't have the most rings but it has a heck of a tale and a comeback that was quite something. And he might add some more before he's done.

Lebron still has more years left. He might win 2 or 3 more rings.
Anyways, there might be second thoughts on a Kevin Love trade. He just made a statement in Game 7, that he can do more than scoring. I say give him one more season, Cavs.

Derrick Rose has been traded to the New York Knicks.
Looks like Carmelo Anthony just got some much-needed help. IF Rose can avoid injury. Does that put them out of the Durant race - or does this entice him more since New York was an option he was open to?

I think Durant might stay at OKC for 1+1 years (2 year contract with the second year as a player option). This will get him the most money overall.
Rockets drafted Zhou Qi, who's a very intriguing prospect. The guy has the height of a C but the speed of a PF/SF. Very undersized though.

Is anyone seeing the insane contracts being given out?
https://twitter.com/RealGM/status/748996368618762240 https://twitter.com/RealGM/status/748958777987076096 Mike Conley getting 5-year 153m and Chandler Parsons getting 4-year 94m. Both were offered the contracts by the Grizzlies, and both are not even top 10 in their positions.

To be honest I did. Only because Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith had debated it in the final days of Skip being on First Take. They argued it was plausible that if Golden State didn't win the championship, Durant could go there. But man, Stephen A. Smith is going berserk even by his standards over this actually happening. Durant may cop more heat for this move than Lebron did for going to Miami.

The difference with KD and Lebron is that Lebron didnt go into a play off team. He went with the heats and built around great players. What KD did was lose to the same team he will now play for. And even so Warriors had the highest winning ratio of the year. Lebron didnt just go to an already playoff ready team. Regardless of how big and powerful the big 3 was, Miami wasnt like what Warriors are.
This is why KD deserves far more "heat." Also why the hell did they block the CP3 from going to the Lakers but allow this. The NBA is going to become like soccer where theres only 2 big teams smh. Competition is good. |
