I found this little gem from 1995
http://websunday.net/theater/movie/mp7_majo.asx

Does anyone know anything about it, was it a full ep ova that they did? was it only this small promo that they did? it would be really cool to find out more about this..

you can see how they changed from 1995 to 2005, its more releastic at least the pitches are blue and stuff like a super move..

I could be wrong but I don't think Major was even considered to become an anime in 1995. I think it was just to promote "Major" the manga in the Shounen Sunday Magazine.

Episode #40 is out now as well.

I have to admit, I wasn't all that impressed with the first half of this season of Major, but this second half has started up quite well, and I can't wait to see how it plays out.

Major ROCKS!!! Thanks for subbing this!!

Well since baseball is so big in Japan and since they won the 2006 World Baseball Classic, Major should be in the top 10.

After seeing new messages, I thought another episode was released .

Anyways, considering the manga, 8 episodes are sufficient to wrap up the current arc. Regarding the 3rd season, the producers might choose to wait for a few more volumes to be released before starting the 3rd season. I don't know the release schedule for the manga so I cannot say for sure how much time is required to make sufficient material available for the anime team.

That's great news, Athanor - I thought you had translator issues and we were looking at a month or more?

I am getting really excited by this arc Major is having.. I hope episode 42 will be released soon.. I am just soo excited to see it. This training arc is very interesting.. I love these types of arc because of the obstacles that the main/side characters have to overcome.. I always love watching the results from it.

I love this last episode.. When Goro says "I aim to be a player who can run, hit, play defense.. an ace who will bat 4th!! Because I love everything about Baseball!" I got chills listening to him say that. Then the preview from the next episode has got me excited too can't wait to see it.

Only one thing has been bugging me alot.. Goro may have an incredible fastball, but eventually he is going to have to learn some other balls.. curve, breaking or slider is needed for him to become an incredible pitcher.

Promise kept; Thanks.

Glad to finally learn why Goro was rejected to become a pitcher in Kaidoh during the training camp. This episode was a good one overall, and the next few episodes will continue to be strong as this one. Now, waiting for the translation of the interesting events that will happen in the upcoming episodes.
