And I don't think Harutora could turn into a piece of paper.

I wish this series would be harem type. But from manga RAW, it's not even there yet.

The mystery in this series bugs me a lot. We still don't know who could be Yakou's reincarnation even in LN's latest volume.

Oh, and my take is that it will turn into a harem, but will more be focused on a love triangle, I bet.

At first it looked intresting cause main guy has some honor in him ( not wanting to become shikigami ) but then he becomed that girls shikigami without no good reason and there is no matter what obedience rule etc.. i lost my intrest there .

if main guy was so strong as you said or if he was the reincarnation then why was there a need to make him a shikigami , the girl he loved died too Also main heroine is a gender bender . SRY BUT İ CANT TAKE THAT MUCH .

No, I can't read Japanese. But someone on jcafe24 posted very short summaries there about the recent volumes. But come to think of it, I notice that there are a few new girls after volume 3. Maybe it's harem after all. i wish someone could have spoiled me more.

He had a good reason for becoming a skikigami. You really should reread the first 5 chapters, it looks like you missed some things.

Tsuchimikado girl turns protagonist into a Shikigami. Shikigami girl was sent by someone, and protagonist wants to know the one who sent it.

Actually, I felt that he becoming a Shikigami was more to honor her last & only wish.

isn't strongly implied that Natsume was the one to created the Female Hokuto? Hokuto's final looks are slightly similar to Natsume's crossdressing mode and Natsume referenced some of the things that Female Hokuto said to Harutora. Hokuto is also the name of Natsume's triumph card; plus Natsume freaked out when she heard that Touji saw through Female Hokuto's nature right off the bat

I could be miss reading things though. The only way this could get my attention is if Natsume & Harutora are assigned the same room and start some wild BL rumors across the campus

I'm not of this standing, rather than think that the dragon and the childhood friend are the same, I'm just assuming that Natsume named Hokuto after the Dragon. BTW I re-read the end of chapter 5 and Natsume is wearing the Ribbon that Harutora gave to Hokuto in the festival, so that's another stone that piles up into the theory that Natsume created Hokuto for the sake of not completely losing contact with the MC.

I see it in manga chapter too that Harutora saw that Natsume's hair ribbon looks similar to the one he gave to Hokuto, but he was too dumb and dense to realize it. His buddy Touji knows the whole thing from the very beginning though.
