Hmm ... images aside that is a pretty effective presentation in my opinion. Looking forward to the second OVA! ^^

Has there been any other specifics about the OVA that have been released? Like what the story will be like or if there will be new characters, etc.?

The kickstarter mentioned new characters so I guess that's a relatively sure thing to expect.

I apologize for the bump since this isn't news, but I just wanted to post some fanart I found.

It's a sequel.
An unplanned sequel, at that.

It is extremely hard to make a sequel when it wasn't conceived from the start, even harder to maintain quality.

All this being said, I am still quite happy to see a second ova made!

It would be neat if this would somehow be able to turn into a series or a series of 6 ova's kinda thing, but for now I am happy that something has come down the pike, at least!

While they didn't have a script ready they did develop the universe in the hope that they'd be able to expand on it beyond a single OVA so it wasn't completely unplanned.

Budget wise I find this interesting, from a french interview:

Quote:
Actuellement, 6.5 millions de yens ont été reçus de la part des backers, mais en fait cela ne couvre que 80% des frais de production totale.

It says they got 65 million yens from the kickstarter ( I assume the 6.5 is a typo) and that's enough to cover 80 percent of the budget (so I assume that's 81.25 million), that's plenty more than the first OVA (38 million) .

I'm really excited for this to come out! Since I'm a backer, last month I was asked what desired name I would like to use for the credits.
