Also, Wreiss' trailer doesn't show her using more magic than Ruby or Yang do.She seems, at best, a magic knight type, and mroe likely just like all the others to use dust for enhancements.

well there are possible reasons to that

1. there actually childhood friends and pyhrra is the only one who remembers they or they both remember
2. she finds his bumbling and ineptitude cute
3. she likes him because he hit on her like she was just any girl and not because she was famous

You're kidding right? Weiss's style is all about using a wide variety of magic for different effects. She even uses the same element to do different things. Ruby and Yang only use their bullets to propel themselves or add power to their attacks. Yang can mix things up a bit by changing the type of ammo she uses, but that's not the same deal thing as Weiss using blue dust to send a wave of ice spikes across the ground and missiles to snare an opponent in midair.

Weiss=the Magic swordsman job type from FFV. The other 3 seem to be more pure melee and the dust is used to enhance their melee rather than perhaps imbue a weapon with an element as Weiss seems to do.

I think it may just be that she thinks Jaune will get in her way as he's so far been something of a bumbler. She's also been shown to think little of him in general. There's nothing that indicates she likes women yet.

The characters' landings were pretty cool and the teams are starting to take shape. I especially liked Yang's landing; she's such a show off.

Seems there will be some fighting within the next few episodes as this one ended on a cliffhanger.

4. She knows that Jaune's sword has some kind of power we as yet don't know about

As for the episode, it was oh so very painfully short! It took less time than I've already spent composing this post!

The only surprise for me was at the end when Weiss called out for Ruby. What, she's scared? This I don't believe. It felt ridiculously forced upon me, and, although she's quite capable of fending for herself, it must just be a lead into the next episode where I suppose Ruby will come back and save her butt for her.

Blake was, once again, absent, and I would love to see Nora's landing.

I think they said before that each actual episode was about 10 minutes long.

This week's clip, The First Step part 2, was always going to be shorter considering the last one, The First Step part 1, was around 7minutes already.

yeah, and This is true she not see in Jaune a stupid boy could slow it down then that's why she prefers to choose Ruby .... Even if I could ask me that Ruby also be able to slow it down ...
