As mentioned in the previous thread by someone, Ayatsuji appears to be a loner of sorts. She is always friendly appearing and supportive of everyone, but you never ever see her with anyone that would be consider her friend. Hence, Junichi might be her real, first "friend", in a sense.

She's definitely giving Haruka a run for her money...if she keeps her playfully evil side up.

This episode made of WIN. Hibiki joining the Santa contest is an event to watch. But I'm kind of wary because of Rihoko's arc butchered, I hope Tsukasa will not be friendzoned too. She 's too good to be just friends.

And yes the Kare Kano reference though it's more of a girl Soichirou doing the sadistic moves to Junichi. Tsukasa varies form Yandere, to Tsundere And Perfect girl. I would really become her slave if she wants.

That's the impression I got when she told him thanks for coming; the class rep is always supporting/helping out everyone, not the other way around. That's the problem with insisting on being self-reliant; eventually people will let you be, even when you actually want someone looking out for you once in a while.

Yes, no one really care about her at school. Actually, the only one is Junichi. And it was a good episode indeed. I'm glad the focus was only on Junichi and Ayatsuji. I'm waiting for the next one which should be interesting if it's like Precious Diary.

Well, you can't really debate beauty. It's just that for me, obvious simplicity and obliviousness (to avoid the more appropriate "dumbness") is a huge turnoff for me. If anything, beautiful exterior paired with thickness elicits a more negative reaction in me than average looks paired with a simple mind.

Anyway, this arc demonstrates the huge advantage of the omnibus format. Condensing the character interaction to an extract is much better than diluting it by the necessity to give other characters airtime, too.

Still, it's regrettable that we only get 4 eps. This character combination would be good for much more enjoyable development.

Seriously, Ayatsuji isn't really a sadist, and Junichi isn't a masochist at all. Ayatsuji wasn't threatening Junichi for her own enjoyment (sadism), but for a very clear reason: To make him shut up, and so, for maintaining her appearance. And Junichi doesn't enjoy the threats, just the opposite. He shows a mixture of tolerant tenacity towards Ayatsuji, which allows her to drop her act when she is with him. His enjoyment is based on doing something meaningful and worthwhile WITH Ayatsuji, about being WITH her. Not about being abused (so, he's no masochist).

Yes, you can make the case that at the very end, when she was muttering to herself that she would bully him/toy with him even more tomorrow could indicate that she enjoys "abuse", but she hasn't really done anything "bad" to him in the first place. It's rather that she enjoys being with him too - and most particularly, she enjoys not being forced to maintain her mask in his presence.

They should have focused on one girl for each arc; Don't put little cameos and waste time with the other girls. This arc is doing a fine job, thankfully.

A masochist is someone who is taking pleasure out of humiliation and pain. Nothing is further from the truth with Junichi, he is genuinely scared. It's true that there are indicators that Ayatsuji likes messing with him, e.g. when she decides to bully (ijimeru) him some more tomorrow. But sadism, as in drawing pleasure out of the torment of someone else? I don't see it. Playing pranks on him, messing with his mind a bit, THAT'S what she's doing. Not whipping him into total submission.

There's a German proverb: "Was sich neckt, das liebt sich" - which roughly translates to "those who tease each other, love each other". That feels more like what's going on.

Seriously, you need to know what a yandere means. Tsukasa so far showed us that she has Type B tsundere traits and perfect girl mask. She is on the psycho side a little but that is not a yandere only trait.

Asuka Langley Sohryu from evangelion is a well know tsundere with psycho tendencies but no one called her a yandere. In fact Tsukasa is like copy cat of Sadamoto's manga's Asuka where Asuka also carries that perfect girl mask in front of adults (dont bother wit Shinji though, shows him all of her worst) and has psycho tendencies.

Okay, it is not correct to label either of them with those words, especially Junichi. However, psychologically speaking, which is what sadism was focused on before it become associated with sex, the happiness Tsukasa showed at the end, in regards to troubling Junichi, is sadistic in nature. I am just trying to say there is a very wide "spectrum" for this because it is psychological in nature. In Haruka's arc, that cafeteria scene where Haruka was a prisoner of sorts, was S&M, even though no one was being physically hurt.
