I won't be surprised if Saki's nemesis turns out to not be Shizuno or Awai. So far Ritz hasn't shown how Arakawa played. And Jindai has strong gods wait in line to help her. Gods in Sakiverse must have lots of free time. Imagine a bunch of gods gang up on a shy, timid girl who was denied love from her sister

Why did you think that? I think it's time for showing Saki's real power. I don't think they will gang up her.

Arakawa: yes, she came second. Since this is a sports manga, I presume she at least has improved her power and mahjong skills in a year. She can be a formidable opponent this year (speculation on my part).

Jindai: she played in the spring tournament, but they didn't mention if she played in the individuals and if she ever played against Teru.

So, apparently, we'll be skipping some rounds of Hisa's match. The last game was only Second-Half, South One. But the last page jumped ahead and ended the match.

Well, at least Ritz doesn't need to crack her head on coming up with some stupendous mahjong plays, and also "adjust" the scores for Nodoka's upcoming match.

Oh that's just great -_- Where will I read it now? The site I go to read the manga doesn't post the translations right away - hell, it took almost a week before Shinohayu Chapter 9 was uploaded.

If my Japanese were one hundred times better than the abysmal knowledge I have gleaned from watching tons of anime and the English-Japanese dictionary I own, I could TRY translating...but it would take way too long, and I know only basic Kanji characters. Like, REALLY basic.

Well, I guess it's a good thing I'm reading the manga again. I can do that as much as I want until some other group picks up it. /sigh

Thank goodness.

It honestly shouldn't be surprising the previous group dropped it. As I've said before, following this series requires a lot of commitment, even as a fan, let alone a translator.
