Anyone here got Battlefield 1943?
I tried the trial, managed to get 2 games in and was good fun. but I want to know what people think before I depart with 10 quid.

PS3 Slim Schedueled for October ?
The only fact I can vouch is :- 1) My main hardware supplier, who is a close associate with Sony, told me that their PS3 is in short supply until Fall. 2) PS3 is currently low in stock throughout the local market. Neither distributer nor retailer manage to get much restocks, if there are any in the first place. Last edited by MakubeX2; 2009-07-17 at 07:34. |

Now I wonder if there will be a price drop associated with slim? Any speculation on the matter, Makube?
Not for me, mind you (I have first gen PS3), but a friend wants to know when the next price drop would be. He's been eyeing the PS3 for a long time already, and wants to get one but price still is the main factor. |

So you'll do best to get the Phat once the Slim is officially announced and try to use the fact as a bargaining chip. And I'll tell you this, hold your horses if you intend to upgrade. I don't see how the Slim will dissipate the excess heat given it's size. I mean, my old PS2 from 2002 still runs. |

This would make sense, considering Sony can't keep offering just PSone titles as classic game downloads. They could make a killing if they could offer PS2 games that way too, and I'm pretty sure Sony knows that. I myself am looking forward to the PS3 slim. It's not that my current PS3 isn't failing - it's working perfectly and as launch model it has full PS2 B/C, but the fan can get kinda loud if it's been running for a while. During games that's usually not a major issue, but the PS3 is also my primary DVD/BD player. |

Well, I just bought a PS3 for Blazblue, I couldn't wait any longer lol
Does the PS3 really have overheating problems? The shop owner told its best to let it cool after 3 hours, but I heard of people leaving them on the entire day.

personally i found it really depends on the rooms ventilation, aka if you put it in a cabinet or such i would keep the doors wide open when you play. If you leave it out on the floor with the chance for the air to flow there really shouldn't be a issue.
