wasn't that happened during the war between Sariella and DWR? iirc the latest translated chapter should still is 2-3 chapters from that, is the raw that far ahead?

The Manga is covering the War between Sariella & Ohts+Allies, and Kumoko helped the side of Sariella.

Also the chapter is fan-translated already.

Conservative?
Considering she is wearing more cloths than her Novel and Anime counterpart.

Note the above was years before the war started. They knew how much energy was in the system. It was never critically low on energy it is going to fail because its core is going to give out. The war is solely for filling up the system so it can be broken hence why it doesn't need to happen if an entire army sacrifices itself. Once it is broken a lot of.people will die because of skill loss Shiro estimates between 25 to 50%
So put the people that are currently dying in the war directly, add the people that are dying from indirect causes of the war, now add some 25 to 50% o the remaining population of the planet that will die of o skill loss, yeah......... that´s plan is utter insanity! And it´s not even taking into account that society might not be able to recover from the loss of most of its population and the system that was key to their way of life.

Remember what the alternative is. Do nothing and the system collapses within 2 years and everyone dies because there is not enough energy in the system to stabilize the planet. And even if the system wasn't going to collapse within 2 years keeping it running will only permeantly destroy more and more souls with only a 50% chance of stabilizing the planet before they're all destroyed. Death by skill loss isn't the same as soul destruction some will have soul collapse but those that do would have suffered it regardless how they died as skills are still ripped out of the soul after death. So assuming the system doesn't collapse (which it is going to and soon) it's either a true death for everyone or save 50 to 75% of the living people and free them and those that died and souls didn't collapse into the regular cycle or reincarnation.

Regarding the anime, they skipped the part where Kumo meets his Mother in the middle layer, and in the WN Kumo meets another group of humans before Ronantd, for whom the LN has been read, how faithful is he the anime adaptation?.

Main sad thing is that the her first encounter was a lot more fun then this one. She kill stealed the monster they were struggling with and that gave her the xp she needed for the evolution, she then healed some of the hurt adventurers and then stole some tasty fruit they had dropped.

Still, this is insane nobody in his right will support this plan, I know the risks and I sure as hell know the consequences but it is still wrong, it´s like you´re choosing what way all the population is going to get extinct. The Evangelion Mythos is starting to look child-friendly compare to this.

Probably changes made for the Anime adaptation by the Team, considering the possibility that this Series would only get "1" Season (since i think they didn't get greenlit for Season 2 yet).
It is quite a common situation of many series, which causes them to change the plot flow and even cut out stuff; like for example, Kumoko had already known about the existence of the "Arachne" evolution by the time she was going to change into Ede Saine. Also in Episode 10, when she was informed about her evolution to "Ede Saine", she didn't get the other options of 'Greater Taratect' & 'Orthocadinaht'.

More likely by the author himself, so it should be fine.

Not always though, as i have heard of Author's getting angry at Anime Production staff for altering/editing-out stuff compared to Original.
That's why i mentioned "Team", since it could contain (or not contain) the Author as well.

First humans and demons are already going extinct the birth rate for both has declined as the number of souls has declined as there is a fixed number in the system. The only way for the population to have a chance at increasing is to reconnect the world to the normal cycle of reincarnation which requires doing what Shiro is doing. What she is doing is no worse than triage. Doing nothing everyone dies and can't reincarnate as they would still be tied to a dead planet. Replacing the core would barely by any time as neither Shiro or Kuro could sustain it for long for it to finish it's job and even if they could, do to Kuro's mismanagement most if not all souls in the system would be destroyed by that time. So do you let all the patients die? Or save the ones you can even if it means some will end up in a coma and not remember anything when they wake up?

I still prefer the webnovel version of kumoko/shiraori than lightnovel version, the lightnovel version is more toned down and less brutal.
