Anyway, Vivian and the others need to put in work for the next coupla episodes. Vivian's probably the best pilot IMO (she just doesn't have a Ragna-mail) so the show needs to let her show it off. But from the way things went during the failed DRAGON invasion, I don't have high hopes. They've got the number advantage at least. Speaking of Vivian, I laughed at her surprise tackling Jill in this ep.

Eh? It's not the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it *is* fairly good. Granted, it's no Monster or Gundam SEED, but it doesn't seem to have the greatest funding or time slot (or maybe it all went to famous VAs?), so that might necessitate some of the more gratuitous aspects of the anime as it tries to sell as much merchandise as possible.

Then again, I'm not at all versed in the commercial culture over there in Japan, but here in the U.S., all that matters for a syndicated show is if enough people watch it. That said, some of the mecha designs are pretty cool (Ange's and Sala's mechas--aka not Strike Freedom and not Infinite Justice =P), but there just doesn't seem to be enough episodes for enough mecha action to show them off as much.

My bigger problem is how that he stole Aura and destroyed whatever he wanted, kill whoever he wanted. He may put on airs, but he's as brutal as they come. Even the human's cruelty is ultimately nothing but a reflection of his own. Whatever his protests, he is his world's god, and he made humans in his image.

And then Embryo himself goes and acts barbaric and warlike, all the while looking at the Dragon he wanted and imprisoned. Just like everyone else who has ever had a plan to 'fix all the ills of mankind', he comes a hypocritical, narcissistic butcher.

That's exactly my issue with Embryo, he whines and moans about humanity, but ultimately, he's the cause of the very things he bemoans in his world. I think that's the point actually; he'll never be able to make a perfect society because he's not perfect and coloured by his experiences. Ange acts the way she does because of her experiences that ultimately, his world (and he himself) are responsible for.

In contrast, despite what the DRAGONs have to turn into, they have a far better society. They're fixing the environment and are relatively peaceful, proving Embryo wrong about humanity. Funnily enough, he blew up old Earth which forced them to adapt in the first place.

A: No, the original Villkiss colors wasn't like it is now but our art director suggested that we paint it the same way like the Freedom. Bandai Namco and Sunrise liked it but I have yet to see a plamo of it yet.

Q: What is Embryo Fukuda-san?
A: (laughs), you should ask Seki-san about that

Q: What was your reaction when you were first approached for this project?
A: Cross Ange was one of my suggestions when SEED Destiny finished and when they wouldn't let me do a movie, it took a while but they accepted it back in December 2012

Q: Who designed the Paramails?
A: Myself, Hirada-san, Sue-san and a lot of people. I asked Katoki-san about transforming robots in Gundam and he provided me with a great insight on how it should be done.

Q: Last night's episode, how and where did Ange-san put her ring case?
A: (Nana laughs and cuts him off) A girl has many pockets, maybe she took it from Salia's dress?

Q: Is the opening and ending complete Fukuda-san?
A: Almost, the opening has better timing than before but it still has some issues that need to be fixed at future volumes

Q: Who was your first choice in voicing Ange?
A: Mizuki-san was always my first choice but I was afraid initially she'd turn it down due to content. But after sitting down with Mizuki-san and her representatives she read the script and she laughed and asked me if this was okay for TV. Mizuki-san then suggested if she can call up Horie-san and Tamura-san for this project and we got in touch with Starchild one day after.

Q: People say you've gone too far with last night's episode, any explanation?
A: I think that was good character development for Salia-chan and more importantly Ange-chan. Embryo tried to break her mind but Ange's mind was strong and her heart belonged to Task.

Q: You tweeted a week ago that episode 21 and 22 will have character deaths
A: (entire cast and staff laughs with Miyano coughing on the mic and apologizing and pinching Tamura on the cheek) No comment, just watch it! (laughs)

Q: So much disfigured animation in this show, was it intentional?
A: I apologize to everyone but since Ashino-san replaced episode 14 we had to redraw and redo almost everything. We are racing against time for the finale but the animation should be fine in the coming episodes

Q: Is the ending in place already?
A: Yes but I won't spoil it

Q: Why did you kill Captain Zola so early? You could have waited until later
A: Neya-san was great in her short time in the studio but she had other commitments so Zola had to be killed. Our original plan is to have her defend Arzenal and she dies in Hilda's arms telling her to fight on.

Q: How did Salamandinay learn to play sports?
A: Salamandinay is a great researcher in Aura's world, she knows a lot compared to her kin

Q: Can you spoil next episode please? Will Task or Momoka die?
A: Please understand and just watch the next broadcast

Q: Was Salia physically used by Embryo?
A: I'd like to think yes because those costumes need payment

Q: Will there be a season two?
A: I'd love to but its not for me to decide. Please buy the blu-ray and DVD if you want more Cross Ange in the future!

Q: Can you explain what happened to Ange and Salamandinay?
A: It was alternate worlds, in some worlds Ange and Salako were bitter enemies and in the others they were really good friends!

Q: What are some original ideas that were scrapped that you can tell us?
A: That's an interesting and deep question, one of our early drafts include Ange becoming the First Troop captain but that would overshadow the other girls so we went with Hilda first until we settled with Salia

Q: What is Salia's problem?
A: I don't dislike Eri-san but Salia has been annoying as of late

Q: I don't know if this is for you or Kuwashima-san but why is Vivian still alive?
A: (Kuwashima playfully scolds the guy for being mean in Vivian's voice but she wonders herself then turns it over to Fukuda) I don't know really!

A: (laughs) She is? But she's trying to kill the villain? I pinched Toshihiko-san's hand really hard when Ange plunged her knife to Embryo. He was crying afterwards but he was a good sport

Q: Does Ange really love Tusk and not Hilda?
A: Yes, Ange is disappointed Tusk hasn't proposed to her yet (looks at Miyano). What a lousy guy! (audience laughs, Miyano retorts that there is no Jasmine Mall inside the Aurora)

Q: Who is your favorite character other than Ange?
A: Vivian! I always wanted to play energetic, strong and cute girls! If Houko-san wouldn't let me then I'll be fine playing as Salamandinay

Q: Why did Ange cut her hair?
A: I really like Ange with long hair just like I do but the director said it was for development

Q: Was it easy for you to transition to ecchi scenes to dramatic scenes?
A: Yes, I went to a character actress seminar around 2006 where all we did was voice ecchi and hentai stuff because soft ero was becoming more popular. As for the drama scenes, I learned alot from past projects

Q: Will Tusk kiss Ange with the moon on the background?
A: (familiar soft voice) Tusk-kun is not a ninja though

Q: Will we see more Kindan no Resistance in your future concerts?
A: Yes absolutely, we played it twice in Singapore last year and in Nagoya this year and I'm thankful the fans loved the song

Q: One guy asked you your favorite character but who do you despise?
A: It has to be Salia. Salia acts like a jealous girl but Ange will be better...right Eri-chan? (Eri-chan mutters I don't deserve this and the audience roared in laughter)

A: Thank you but its not my call, I heard Nerima will be disbanded after this show. Maybe Studio Gundam (Studio 1) will pick us up!

A: Those were accidents, no guy should ever do that. Fukuda-san told me it would be funny so back in episode 5 broadcast I bump on Nana and Uesaka's bellies to get it as real since they would slap me hard if I did that for real right?

A: Will Tusk even get an opportunity? Tune in next week everyone

Q: Is Tusk's mother a Norma?
A: According to Higuchi-san yes, they were supposed to have a backstory in episode 14 but Ashino-san changed the script. They were supposed to be voiced by myself and Nana-san.
A (Ashino): Tusk's father and mother were polar opposites, Tusk's father was focused on Embryo and survival while Tusk's mother had a big crush on him. You can say Tusk's father was playing hard to get until Tusk's mother got him for herself. Jasmine did not approve at first but they were low on personnel and should be looking forward to the future.

Q: Will Tusk die next episode?
A: I hope the previews are wrong, I don't want to go anywhere!

Q: Why did Tusk say four children? That's expensive!
A: Ange is a princess, the way she lived we can have at least ten! (laughs)

A: Sala is a prim, proper lady and should not need do ecchi stuff like gorilla princess (Ange) and her sidekick
