if you look up D. Gray-Man on wiki, it says that there is an anime series being made that will start airing in October 2006.

Anyone know anything about this?

I can't find anything about it on the anime news network or anidb or anything.

I think a series will be awesome, but I don't want to get my hopes up if this is not actually going to happen.

I like D.gray-man a lot. Allen Walker kind of sucked in Jump Superstars though. I have a question..Why is the book titled D.Gray-man? That is a really odd title.

You know just tell me. I mean, I don't really want to wait until Volume 3 comes out to get my question answered.

Accusations of plagiarism found in D.Gray-man manga

From Anime News Service

Quote:
There's been some discussion in the Japanese web recently concerning accusation of "Pacuri" or appropriation of material from existing manga against Katsura Hoshino D.Gray Man manga. The website betty.jp/black_/ and several BBS and internet forum postings have spread the accounts and side by side images pointing out the similarities.

Examples of presumed plagiarism.

Doesn't quite seem like plagiarism to me. I don't know, but it seems like the 2nd comparison is really just how people draw females slapping male leads. Imo, the panel with the actual slap is the only close resemblance to Triguns.

Hmm, I went through the examples of the site and for most of them the worst I'd say is that she reused some design ideas and general composition for some panels. Let's take another example, Runouni Kenshin. There, the mangaka is quite fond of basing his designs on western super hero comics. He even says how a big fan of those he is. Trigun did the same at least in one instance. I don't remember them getting much flak for it. Fans back then thought it's cool/funny/whatever and then went on and enjoyed the manga. How is that different from one of the Akumas having a similar design to an Eva unit? Then Rinali slapping Allen. It was a powerful image and fit the situation well. It's a good setup for character development. It worked in Trigun, why not use it in D.Gray man or Future Story XY? Her drawings are her own as far as I can tell, not like some cases of trace copypasta that I've seen from different cases. Frankly, I'm not quite sure where the problem is.

The manga's licensed by Viz, so such a thing is taboo now. I'm sure if you just randomly search on the net you could probably find it, but please support the real thing.

Spoiler:
I went through all the so-called "evidence" on the given site, and arrived at the same conclusion as Oberon. There are maybe one or two instances where the comparison appear somewhat legitimate, but the rest is just beyond forceful. Plagiarism is a serious accusation. Unless more convincing evidence is brought to be table, their argument does not stand.

I think it was mentioned above, but asking for where to find licensed manga is not allowed, in addition to providing the links to such sites.

For the problem you have, I don't know why you want to change rar to zip. You can download winrar (or any other similar program) to access rar-type files easily.
