Ah, I love Grandia; it's pretty much the only game I can play through as many times as I want and not get bored of it.

I bought a Japanese Sega Saturn just for the original game and Digital Museum...

This here is one of the best points about Grandia's battle system imo. It gives you the chance to avoid those random pointless battles, provided you are good enough to avoid them in the first place Although i must say it is pretty fun watching the characters run around the battle field, dodging attacks and what not

I tried grinding my characters to max stats and max level once in Grandia 2. I think i gave up about 2/3 of the way, it just took too long and grinding wasn't really my thing anyway. Infact i might probably still have a copy of the save file

I'm confused. You never stated the other way around, and my last post didn't state the opposite either.

Just want to say that Grandia 3 was great until Miranda and Alfonso left the party, then the chars AND the story took a HUGE nosedive =(.

Oh, i forgot that Skies of Arcadia is censored.

Pirates drinking juice ...... instead of alcohol.
Nobody smokes
Bellena's outfit less nude
Vigoro's scene with Aika in the prison

Gosh, i have to get the japanese version somehow or atleast find the pictures/vids that shows the original content of Eternal Arcadia.
But i couldn't found it.

Vigoro's scene is censored? I thought it was plenty bad enough as it was.

Can we move all future SoA discussions to its own thread and let this one just be about Grandia?

Ahhh Grandia takes me back that was a nice game, but I believe the second one takes center stage for me. The characters were great and the story was fairly deep to me when i first played it years ago. Now the third one left a bad taste in my mouth... It was just soo bland in every sense of the word.

True...Grandia 3 was one of the few JRPGs I dropped because of the utter boringness the story induced...

I skipped most of the story using the Select button. You should try it. The battles are AWESOME and the story doesn't matter.

It's the only Grandia I played... I remember using a Grandia wallpaper for a whole straight year. Hahaha. Talk about fandom.
