Heyhey, i'm not sure if this is too much to be a sketch, I took about 40 mins on it (I just kinda went into a daze)...it's a color sketch ;) it is sketchy and by no means a finished work. I did this in photoshop with my tablet, it started as a doodle of nothing in particular and shaped into this:
http://www.geocities.com/megangoldbe...lyawokenSm.jpg please let me know if doesn't qualify for the thread -.- Jayrocs: That's some pretty cool portrait work. There's definate mood in the faces. and I really like that ^^ I get a nice sense of emotion when I look at their faces. My only suggestion is to be more 3dimensional with the facial features, especially the lips. Use construction lines and flesh them out a little more :) |

i think i will go crazy if i dont do some my own artwork. university is shat busy plus extra art classes. I got this stupid coursework due in 2 days so I got to do the work now yesterday and today i finally squeezed out some time to do bit doodling. I think I will perhaps take this work further.
done in photoshop - line art took 30 minutes (yesterday) shading another 30 minutes (today) http://www.aooz24.dsl.pipex.com/girl.jpg http://www.aooz24.dsl.pipex.com/girl-noline.jpg (this is to practice the understanding of the shading work. I was told that the shading should also make sense after removing the lineart work. this is a good way to start off your piece first. learn how the shadow works first then work your colour in.) |

Hehehe... that's just great!
Well just finished up a quick project for another forum and here's the original sketch. Of course I saw way too many mistakes after scanning. I will confess tho that I did erase a portion of her headgear, sorry about that. (In the final, I fixed some of the problems and I'll post that in my thread as soon as I can for comparison.)

Nice armor, Mundain. My only nitpick is that his torso seems to be twisted a tad too much.
Well, I bit the bullet and attempted to draw a guy ... I think I drew an action figure instead. It was so hard not trying to erase in this one.
