Pretty fast development in the end, but I can live with it.
If they were to resurrect the sister, it mustn't come up next episode. Give it at least some time or it will feel pretty pointless.
MC bringing up some of his self-centered personality again. Thank Haruhi he has a personallity again.

So isn't it still possible that the little sister was "taken in" by that organization that is researching these powers?

I mean...the power to cause earthquakes / destroy things is pretty valuable for any kind of warfare type stuff.

My personal guess is that that other high school girl took her
How that girl was even allowed to enter a school that is supposedly controlled by Nao's organization and even getting greeted nicelys is still a mystery to me but Ok if the story demands it...

That picture...the one standing looks alot like the 'forgotten family member' while the one crouching has the same eyes as our MC. So....possibly before the start of Charlotte they might have been lab rats?
(till they escaped or that guy removed our MC's memories to protect him either from going insane or for him to live normally)

Can't wait for them to touch upon that photo's circumstances.

Episodes 6 and 7 are why I disliked those Esper of The Week episodes. It left no room for proper foreshadowing and development of characters like Imouto. She was mostly defined by her pizza sauce and Yusa fangirling as character traits which is terrible.

Bah, I refuse to believe it. Ayumi isn't dead, she's in a coma somewhere else. They can't kill her. Besides, they glossed over her funeral quickly, which meant it wasn't important. WHICH OBVIOUSLY MEANS SHE'S ALIVE

I think it's also a factor as to why people didn't get to feel that attached to her since her departure was quickly done away with, which obviously means that she'll appear again right? RIGHT?

While I was also slightly amused with the stick stabbing action Yu did while he was being a delinquent, I can't help but hate him when he kicked empty cup noodle containers to ep1 girl's face. I did say I liked to see more of her, but not in a situation where she almost got kicked in the face.

I did wonder where Nao was in all of this, it didn't even occur to me that she's also there, just invisible. Sure, she said it's because she also feels responsible for ayumi's death, but I can't help but feel that Nao is also there for Yu himself, which means she likes...

cup noodles too and at least half of those cup noodles were eaten by her

Wow, the show sure took a massif change of tone in the last 2 episodes. I watched episode 5-6-7 in row. I was expecting the same "fun" but I was taken by surprise.

There's a possibility that the little sister was taken by an organization, but I would prefer if she stayed dead. Don't get me wrong --- she was an adorable character but sometimes, we need "apparently dead" people to stay dead.

Shes most likely alive, there was some foreshadowing I believe from that woman at her funeral, "Time can heal many things in this world, though it wont heal everything" might mean Ayumi is coming back.
Also has anyone else realized that one character in the intro of the anime and how they always leave a space open between them for a character at the end of the intro's? Interesting.

I doubt Ayumi gonna stay "dead" for long, she's likely to somehow be alive at the end of this series.^^

Still I could feel Yuu, I nearly lost my youngest brother to blood cancer and that event changed me quite a bit and I got problems at my studies cause of that. Yet at the same time, besides pity I couldn't help but feel also disgust for Yuu, how badly he treated himself and worse others. How he used his power to find pleasure in hurting others and even going as far as being about to take drugs. He probably would have sooner or later become a killer at this rate too.

Which is what made me glad he got "back to normal". I doubt Ayumi would have been happy to see her big brother becoming what he was about to become.

There are two things I wonder about though:

1 is Nao. How did she get in? I mean, she can only make herself invisible to one person, so she needed that first episode girl to get in and even then she would need to eat and drink and go to th toilet and sleep somewhere in the days after first episode girl left. Yet it seems all she did was sitting there and watching and nothing else.
Plus she followed him all the way around? If so what if she had to take a dump and during that time he would suddenly leave, what then? Or why didn't the delinquents never react to her if she was always close by, watching him abusing his power? And regarding that, why did she never stop him considering that her order is to stop psi power abuse? This whole "I watched you for weeks and was always close to you" feels way too thin-planned tbh.^^;

And the 2nd is actually Takajo's house. Why was it completely empty? Shouldn't his parents be there or siblings? I mean, Nao can't order his whole family to leave the house, can she? I wonder about that because Takajo is pretty much Yuu's only male friend and so far he is also the only one of the student council we have yet to hear about his background story. We know Nao's background story of her mom, big bro and why she distrusts others. We know Yuu's obviously as he is the MC. And we know Yusarin's of her idol career and her big sister's death. The only things we know about Takajo is that he has a psi power, is a Yusarin fan and well, uhm, maybe that he is good at housework given his magic change into an apron? Oh and that he really trusts Nao a lot despite her causing him a ton of trouble and even throwing him out of the window of the 2nd or 3rd or whatever floor. XD
Well, I doubt we ever get a Takajo background story episode as he is the least important character of the student council and more of a comedy chara with the "What a turn-off!" catch-phrase of others around him. Still, if perhaps he had also caused a lose due his psi power or a psi power of his siblings, it would probably be good ground for him and Yuu to deepen their friendship. And Yuu hopefully stopping to think about ways how to make Takajo jump outta a window. xD

As for episode 8, man, the mood sure changed quickly. Did episode 6 and 7 happen at all? o.o

It could just be Takajou who called her. Or even Nao. They would know about her from when they watched Yuu to recruit him.

And while, yes, she didn't tolerate his unexplained weirdness when they broke up, or want an unbalanced relationship, he remains her saviour and the death of his sister had really got to him. It's normal that she'd want to do something for him.

Episode 7

How was Nao able to do that? She's supposed to be only invisible for one person at the time, and cannot go through doors and walls obviously.

This looked so awful as an explanation.
How did she hide from that ex girlfriend? The door to exit that room was closed, and we didn't hear a single sound of any closet or anything. The girl didn't look at all toward someone else either. She moves right in front of the tables and chair and sees nothing. Did she hide behind that small wall sparating the kitchen and the living room ? maybe. But how did she eat during those weeks Yuu wasn't moving from that room? Because she could not exit easily there. Did she eat cup ramen too? Then where are the remnants of her cup ramen ?
How did she exit from the door when Yuu finally got out? He closed it right away. Granted, without using any key, but the guy was right here...
On the first fight no one is seeing anything even though that road is clear of any obstacle...Not a single person ever look at her...

Well, that's probably just bad story writing, nothing to see there. I mean this episode is awful from the start anyway. Losing a close relative is a shock and very sad yes, but if peoples were starting to pick fights and torture others when this happen the world would have burnt to the ground since long ago.
And Nao, if you have been there all the time, how about stopping him earlier? Peoples got stabbed, tortured, thievery, and so on, and that was fine but drug is suddenly not? the hell.

Especially since that angsty teenager didn't need anything more than an sugar heavy omerice to be okay again. So that's what his sadness for her sister was worth for, an sugar heavy omerice... Just why exactly did we got an episode like that if that's just that level?
Now if on top of that after dedicating a whole episode about his completely shallow sadness this anime dares to bring back the sister in any living form even mad or paralysed, I'll laugh very hard at the poor level of writing this thing has.
I seriously hope this isn't the case.
That anime has never been very good but it still had interesting moment. That episode was awful though. x(

Also, if they want me to feel sad about a death, please start first by making me like that character. If the character is so annoying that I was thinking "kill it with fire" each time he/she appears, and has too little screen time to have been relevant to the story so far, how am I even supposed to care? And now I get a completely ridiculous whole episode dedicated to that character's death- wait no, dedicated to the shallow feelings and angst of the emo teen that is Yuu currently. Ewww.

Wasn't that anime supposed to bring "feels" ? because while the story about Nao's brother felt right on this, this whole episode just felt wrong and unbelievable from start to finish. That wasn't hard to watch due to strong feelings or character having it harsh, but hard to watch because I had to force myself to endure how ridiculously exaggerated and empty everything was.

That was very bad.

Nao doesn't have to be in plain sight to know what Yuu is doing. What would stop her from listening to Shirayanagi and Yuu conversation from afar?

Also, knowing Nao, she probably had a duplicate key of Yuu's apartment. There is hardly any issue for her to simply snatch the key and duplicate it.
Finally, she could simply switch her invisibility towards Shirayanagi instead of Yuu. In fact, Yuu's attention was solely focused on the TV then Shirayanagi. There are so many blind spots that it isn't far fetched for Nao to be completely not seen by the two of them.

Yuu has been characterized from the very beginning as a guy who would go rogue if the opportunity were to be there.
Remember this is the one guy who cheated at school without any glimpse of remorse, had a very high esteem of himself and staged Shirayanagi's accident as to portray himself as her savior.

Yuu has no direct relatives or close fiends to speak of. He lost his only family, so I don't see how it is far fetched for him to pick a fight or two.
In fact, the characterization is quite blatant here: he became fond of violence with games first, then felt enjoyment by dominating thugs with his power. That kind of power drunkenness is not uncommon at all.

Quote:

Stopping Yuu right there wouldn't change anything. He would ignore her and tell her to piss off. Even if she beats the crap out of him, it wouldn't change anything considering his mindset was erratic and he only wanted to overpower thugs, not being a murderer. Simply put, Yuu was pretty much doing for the kicks without much aim, and stopping him right there wouldn't change a thing and could actually worsen the situation should Yuu feel like patronized.

The drug part is quite different because unlike violence, the moment he takes drug, chances he will be merely a shadow of himself would be vastly higher. Also, emphasis on stopping being human is pretty spot on when it comes to drug addict as their will is bound to the drug, whereas having a fight with a punk or two won't essentially change him to a mindless tofu.

Huh? It isn't just because the omerice was "horrible". He realizes way after the fact what Ayumi was doing for all these years with that sauce.
