Medaka Box [Manga]

Funny, I had a re-read the first chapter and I had a dream that Shiranui(sp?) grabbed Medaka by the collar and tossed her into a wall after telling her something . Also I remember Zen leaving the school. I can't seem to remember the details though =0\. Anyway, I said I'd give this another try after 50 chapters(I quit after chap 20/21), but I think I'll wait a little bit longer =0\. I'd hate to be disappointed and frustrated like some of the people on here(based on comments i've seen).

So the former class president really takes it to Kumagawa. I know the Kumagawa can reverse the damage he takes in a lot of cases but good lord does he never seem bothered by any pain he does receive before fixing himself up.

Hmm two more abnormals from Class 13 show up or might be Negative 13, I'm only familiar with the characters for 13. At first I thought they could possibly be part of the former president's council since they attacked Kumagawa but since they appear to be on his side that was a bad guess perhaps. lol @ the one on the left wearing a monocle.

Either way, it seems that he realizes that he is dealing with quite the threat in Kumagawa. I'm curious about what Medaka talked to him about at the end of the chapter.

They're members of class Negative 13. Apparently, they were trying to stop Kumagawa from counterattacking. (they're abnormalitites are called "Accident" and "Fatal Weapon")

The dude stopped him because he was worried that Kumagawa might destroy the world if he got serious. And asked him whether that was what he was planning to do (though he added a probably not).

The gal did it because kumagawa promised her that he would leave all the melee combat stuff to her. So she was a bit pissed.

.....Reading this manga up to this point..... I don't know why, I got this feeling that it'll eventually ties into Zaregoto in one way or another. I can't be the only one who thinks Defective Product is the perfect man to be the homeroom teacher of Class Minus 13 right???

Not just them but anyone that is rated special or above has the AB blood type. Zenkichi is the only supposed normal with AB blood. The theory more or less goes that anyone with the blood type is an abnormal or has the potential for awakening an abnormality. In the case of the latter, it probably takes a set of conditions for each person or it may just bloom later on like what seems to be the case with Takachiho and Kumagawa.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm interested in what kind of abnormalities they are. Although the names give me a few ideas.

Kumagawa a planetary-threat? Oh boy would that be something to see mainly because I want to see how far his abnormality goes. Hyperbole or not, it should be interesting.

So the girl is a blood knight huh? Depending on if she has anything else going for her I may or may not be interested. Oh, do you know their names by the way?

Okay, read the translated version, and while it pretty much confirmed my initial interpretation of Kumagawa's twisted character, I have to wonder... Does he really talk like that? A small part of his dialogue seems, I dunno, stilted? Was it a translation convention?

It wouldn't be beyond the realm of reason that he would really talk like that.

I'm pretty sure its intentional. Kumagawa talks with a lot of double negatives and he himself is a contradiction. His way of speaking reflects his personality. Of course so does his abnormality/minus.

I'm loving how Nishio has been setting things up for this arc.

I'll enjoy the extra pages. If we do get color on top of that it will be a welcome surprise. I'm curious about how this one would turn out if they make it so.

The Medaka cover for 6 is definitely a nice one. I've liked what Akira Akatsuki has done with the covers post volume 2. I look forward to seeing how well it does in the coming weeks.

Haha totally looks like the opposite sides are having a strategy meeting. It looks like Hinokage didn't gel too well with Medaka's allies at first. Kikaijima slapping him was certainly a surprise. I definitely want to know what went down there.

As for Minus 13, Shiranui was somewhat of a surprise to see just pop up at that moment. Just as most of us figured, she pretty much shrugged off the attacks of Kumagawa's mooks and went right back to eating. She doesn't even have a scar on her. I'm assuming Kumagawa told them to back off at the end or something similar. Either way, things are definitely heading in an even more fascinating direction.
