Spoiler for Damnit Kodaka:

Well, The only thing that I would predict is that Naegi and Munakata will last till the last episode. Everyone is fair game.

Will it be too much to wish for Kyouko to come out of this alive? I suppose she will remain fine until she links up and acts together with Makoto.

My bet on Kyousuke's forbidden action to be "can't open doors".

I don't trust Munakata at all, but at the same time I don't think he's involved, I feel that would be too easy, and Kodaka always throws thing at us at the last minute. I don't know, there are a lot of weird things going on. It seems Kirigiri is suspicious about something regarding the place they are. Now onto the killing game, welp, I didn't expect that twist about them having a certain action they cannot perform, Naegi's one was hilarious if anything because he had to be carried not only once but twice lol.

Also, why the change in the opening visuals? The ending seems the same, even though I'm sure Kodaka said to keep an eye on it... hmmm

Well it's nice to know the rules of the "game" that Monokuma has put underway. So there's a traitor among all of them that will kill one person every time they're put to sleep and the goal is weed that person out of the group before they all die. Then there's the twist that they'll recieve a condition that they must avoid doing if they don't want to end up getting killed either and Daisaku ended up dying to just to show that wasn't a bluff.

Aoi ends up getting killed by the traitor at the end of the episode too. It's pretty depressing to see a survivor of the first game getting killed off now but I guess it was always a possibility.

I was wondering how Monomi would be implemented into this story and I guess she's just a means for Miaya to communicate with the others since she's too shy to talk herself. That's cute I guess. I like how she, Gozu and Makoto all have their little group but now that Aoi's dead things might go awry.

On last thing, Sonosuke and Ruruka seem to be very intimate with each other almost all of the time. I wonder if they're a couple?

Who else thinks this is all Virtual, again?

I can't see the need to sleep-gas them in the same room besides the 1st killing.

I also have a "sick" feeling that someone will chop off their arm to remove the bangles

Suspected some surprise right from the get go, but this was a bit too much I guess.
That being said, I'm a bit bothered by the pacing/presentation being a bit on the slow side, but I guess it is better than padding with endless dialogues and whatnot.

That being said, this episode made me worry about the overall setting for the future arc
Spoiler for Speculations:

Spoiler for Speculations:
I really hope you guys are right.
Because I don't really want to see Aoi dead
Moreover it would go hand in hand with Despair where Yokizone just sits there saying 'Aww I died'.

that being said I wouldn't be surprised if your theory about forbidden actions is right, especially with all the violent characters apparently being allowed to participate in violence

The most interesting part about all of it is btw that Monokuma didn't know Monomi and that both of them seem to have the same voice which brings me to believe that

Spoiler for Speculation & Some other things:

What I am already certain about though is that someone who died/has yet to die is going to re-appear (and I dodn't mean via VR).

nooo Asahina.

she was spitting death flags like crazy during the last 5minutes though, was like argh...

The forbidden action is the most interesting part for me.
I'm not very deep into the whole dangan lore, and actually think the despair world stuff is dumb and only tolerable because it was a videogame and the murder case gameplay was the focus.

So finding out the forbidden actions thing is what's keeping me watching heh

Oh my.... This very uncomfortable feeling of dread. I don't think I've ever felt it while watching any other anime. This is way more brutal than the games. D:

Asahina, I... was kind of afraid of this. If the writer was going to stress that not even the returning characters are safe, one of them would have to be one of the first to die. ;_;

Also, that student president, am I the only one who thinks his forbidden action is to open doors?

Also, not buying into the VR theory. First of all, we've already done that plot twist. Second, the game actually threw in some visual cues regularly that gave it away (but were mostly meaningless for people not in the know).

It has to be something like that though, since the damage done to the building has increased significantly between the time they were put to sleep and the time they re-awkoke.

Notably both the VR and Years actually passed plotlines were already done (DR2 and DR1) - Going by the previously mentioned state of the building either of it has to be true though.

There's dozens of possible of explanations for that. There is no reason for it to be VR.

Not to mention that the purpose of the VR show was to deprogram the remnants of despair. There is no reason for this to happen here. And again, there were visual cues that hinted at it being VR.

I am a little confused so, could you tell whe about this virtual reality setting? It happened on danganronpa 2 game? I only watched 1st anime and came to this series.

I think only Naegi and Kirigiri are safe till the end.

I liked the new setting, but it makes totally harsh since the killer only needs to make the murder a cover, since all get defenseless unless they can barricate themselves.

Where is our friend vident? He saw the choppers comming but seems he get locked outside the building

Since you are watching and discussing about DR3 despite the multiple warnings, I will consider that you don't care about DR2 plotline. Still, just don't open the tags if you want to check DR2 game after all.
Spoiler:

I don't expect it to be reallY VR as Kodaka's team usually avoid using the same trick twice, but it has to be noted that the building where they currently are might not be the same as the one they were before being put to sleep.

I'm also a bit annoyed it isn't a game after all considering the structure isn't far from DR1 and DR2, especially for the fact there isn't any detail for Chisa's death (was it cutter like the OP suggests?).
I'm still puzzled about the color for blood even though the opening and Despair arc feature the usual pink color, but since even Junko's execution featured bright red in the flashbacks, it might be a deliberate choice for the more serious tone (although DR1 and DR2 were no jokes for the participants either).

It's basically a very sadistic real life version of Mafia. Where a group of players contains a number of "mafiosi" who 'kill' one of the other players during the night, and the players vote to lynch one of their own during the day, hoping they get a mafioso.

So the death game of DR2 only happened in Virtual reality, meaning nobody really died?

Also it could be anything, I think Hagure missing could be a key point to show us if they are really in the same building or not.

Sadly, that is not the case. The participants who died had their personalities erased. While their bodies still live, they are pretty much vegetables now. To be fair, the survivors pulled off some impossible stuff in there, and are hoping that they might one day wake up, but there is no way to tell if they ever will.
