^ You are right that I remembered her name wrong and you were closer (it's been too long and I had to search it in the novel), I meant アトラ - Atora. I kind of can't imagine how the siblings got introduced with the trust issues already solved and no more new slaves. I kind of hoped for her to live through, considering how sad that part was.

Naofumi keeps buying up slaves. It starts with just these who were part of Raphtalia’s village but Fohl was bought up to increase their fighting force and Atla came with him. They are mostly slaves in name only due to the buff his shield gives his slaves in terms of level and stat growth but Naofumi rarely enforces his will upon them unless they get out of hand.

^ I remember this from the WN (so I guess it hasn't changed), but the anime seemed to introduce all the kids from the village as free people (not slaves at least) in the last episode.

I wonder if we’ll get a volume release date reveal when the 2nd season comes out like with Arifureta. Considering how long it has been since the last volume, I new volume seems appropriate for a new anime season release

I just heard The Reprise of the Spear Hero manga adaptation of the web novel will end in its 11th volume. So does that mean Aneko Yusagi will resume the Shield Hero novels soon? Anyone heard anything?

Finally! They left off at Melty getting kidnapped and the past Bow Hero's dragon coming to request help. We are getting a war next volume.
