"Don't go near that alley, it's dangerous there!"
Could they make it any more obvious that the female cop knows more than she lets on? She's making herself look a bit too suspicious to not be involved. After all, why does she know about that particular place, and how did the assailant learn Mifune's name? Plus, her whole "how can you put up with that girl" comment struck a wrong chord with me. I can't blame Manabe for disagreeing with Haruka. Given how close they've become, I think it's only natural that he's worried she'll get in really hot water. What surprised me is that Muroto wasn't siding with Manabe here. I expected him to oppose Mifune's plan as well, and though he looked a bit reluctant to go along with it, he eventually didn't argue about it and let it happen. Maybe he just wants to get it over with, so that Mifune can come to terms with her past and hook up with him.

Wow, Kotoura was naive this episode.
Even if it a police officer, don't just go in their home or agree to stay overnight like that. Or even walk up to the attacker at the end there. Maybe Japan is just a safer place than America, which I wouldn't be surprised at. Lots of stuff thrown in this episode, probably just to have a regular all-happy epilogue episode. Didn't mind the slapstick to cool it off and prevented it from being so dramatic it would make me roll my eyes out. Moritani stuff felt like of weirdly placed, but I guess might as well get it out of the way. Loved the Daichi x Yuriko moment. Daichi is a true man. Thought that the 'excuse' would be the detective girl did have some split personality thing going. Mainly to explain why Kotoura didn't pick it up at all. Kind of thin, but whatever, I let it slide, series isn't suppose to be that complex.

yah, the sheer amount of coincidences this ep made me facepalm, particularly Moritani's look-away-for-a-moment-and-Kotoura-disappears bit, but even moreso, the phone falling and bouncing ALLLLL the way under the TV =0/. Then, how did Moritani, Yuriko, and Muroto beat the police to the scene? The whole episode was pure chessy ridiculousness =02. The music, however, was hella good though =03.
They didn't let her off the hook I don't think; Yama told her "when she got out, he would take her to dinner.", which signifies she's going to jail. She still should have been handcuffed, but eh, not going to complain about it (>.> ).

Well, at first I was a bit disappointed. I was expecting the gang to suspect Tsukino, only to have her turn out to be innocent, because the running moral of Kotorou-san is that no matter how bad someone might seem at first, they're basically good, deep down, if you give them a chance. Of course, it turned out that she was indeed the attacker, but they still managed to keep with the theme somehow.
I appreciated Moritani's skirt-flip aversion gag at the beginning; there was more than enough drama this week, and some dumb, goofy comedy was sorely needed. |

Clash with the attacker was more funny than serious.
Kotoura needed some confidence boost. Don't think leaving Manabe out of it was the best choice. Moritani finally showed some courage and confessed. Looks like there is still some hope left for her. Everyone seems to be more or less paired up now.. Manabe played the role of the hero rather well. Tsukino being the culprit, never saw that one coming.

I think if the character wasn't written to have MPD (aka, she's actually a disturbed girl who hides under a mask) it wouldn't have been as bad, but it was just annoying to watch. |
