Both. The sad thing is Aliceteria's idiocy would be much easier to swallow if, for example, Magane's involvement last episode was seriously curtailed (just seeing Mamika fall, and catching her bloodied clothing should've been enough for her to call Sota out to fuck with his head,) and Mamika's dying words were set up in such a way that Aliceteria confabulates Altair with Meteora (after all, Aliceteria was never told who "Altair" is. She only knows the Military Uniform Chunni.)

Anyway, it looks like Meteora gets to waste more of the government's money, since it is well-known that high-explosives (even the kind meant to penetrate armor like, you know, anti-tank missiles) never, ever, do more to a magical character than wave their hair about in a dramatic fashion and fuck conservation of momentum (this show's so full of cliches that I'm not surprised to see that particular one being used.)

Maybe Mamika's death serves as the turning point of the story? I mean, they have proof that the Creations can die now. They're not just fictional character any more, but real flesh and blood, not just on the bad guy side but also on the good guy side.

Plus, Mamika's death may serves as another development point for Aliceteria whether good or bad. Would she return to the Knight in Sour Armor she originally was in her series? Or will she continue to dive down the Knight Templar path?

Really, I think this is quite interesting. The creators also said that this series is heavily influenced by Arnold's Last Action Hero movie and that one was quite good, so I have hope for this.

Watching recent series make me realizes that sometimes, you have to at least watch half of it for to really judge. Even them, some series start out mediocre, only to pick up steam at the later parts.

It's clear Alicetaria is somewhat conflicted about what she's doing right now.

Altair's power is quite big but she seems to have some sort of limitation right now.

Selesia almost gets killed but at least we see the theory of "recognition" to get power ups is correct.

Well, it is possible that happened, because there are moments where I feel like Altair's rage is actually Setsuna raging.

Episode 10 Impressions

Spoiler:

• Loved the episode, the music was incredible! It was very action packed and I loved Selesia's new upgrade.
• I liked the fact that Sota is finally standing up for himself, but I'm also a little bit irritated that Yuuya fell for the same trick again.
• I'm also worried that the reason Selesia isn't recovering is because she lost a lot of information from that attack. (You know similar to how Servants need prana to stay in the world. Sorry it's kind of hard not to compare these two shows)
• Looks like Alice is still being stubborn.
• If it is true from what I saw that Creators do have the power to upgrade their heroes with enough Likes, then some of those fictional characters are definitely going to regret killing off their creators later on. Of course, this is also going to put the Creators in even more danger.
• Yeah, I agree with xizro345, it looks like Altair does have some limitations with her powers.
• I also heard that we may be getting some new characters soon. So I'm looking forward to it!

Damn, that was an enjoyable episode. I can't believe they didn't let Selesia have her moment and have her revert to her old and heavily-wounded self. And How did Mirokuji escape tha battle with Magane? It looks like she jacked Hangaku for herself and maybe let him escape...

Another way against Magane's ability is alternate language or different dialect. Magane's "lies" can be reversed. A Creation that can cancel out or alter the mean of the "words" can work. Magane need an opponent that can bypass her "words".

Really don't like bashing on her, but yeah. Her talking in this episode specifically really killed the momentum between her fight with Mirokuji lol. I don't think there's any way around it, but still.
