I agree with both the Weasel king and Satou, I'm with the King that it's sheer arrogance to deny advancement of scientific development, not to mention futile. I also agree with Satou that resorting to warfare without a room for negotiation is barbaric.

We'll see where they really stand and what's going on before making any kind of judgement.

Also, where do you guys think this "New Frontier" is?
It's not his pocket dimension as he stated, so it's gotta be either existing another world, or... perhaps a terraformed nearby planet?
The latter would make sense that they'd be building an "ark", it would basically be interplanetary spaceship.

It's possible. Satou being the one to take them to a new world would surely be recorded in their history. A few generations later and people would see this as only a myth but also divine intervention so they worship Satou-sama for giving them life.

Aw man I got curious about the new WN Sousetsuka is translating and it's not the story itself that I found interesting but the comments. Seems like someone already tried to call dibs the WN but he's one of those slow translators. Now that Sousetsuka has move in his "turf" he's been ranting about it. The sad thing is that even his readers have turned against him because he's rude to anyone who disagrees with his views

Actually I'm talking about Sousetsuka's 'Shinsetsu Nobu-san Isekai Ki' translation. Go and read the comments under that WN. And visit that Xant's site as well because the dude aired the dirty laundry by going public, posting emails between one of his translators and Sousetsuka. He only has himself to blame for the many criticism he's getting.

From what I understand their site release one chapter in september and nothing else before Sousetsuka pick it up and the dude was crying poaching and stealing. True Sousetsuka did sound kind of dickish when he offered another WN for them to translate but I believe he didn't mean it that way, but in terms of the WN in question he didn't say Xan't can't translate it anymore, just that Sousetsuka gonna release his own version. It's not stealing if if he's not copying their work word for word. And that dude is acting like he actually OWNS the damn WN raw telling someone no once can translate it but themselves. If he translated maybe at least 5 chapters of it he can feel entitled but one? That's just silly >_>

But what I'm having problem is how Sousetsuka approached this matter

Try reading the emails again, you can clearly see Sousetsuka didn't want "no" for an answer

This is how it went :
1. Sousetsuka asked for permission
2. Rejected
3. Started critizing Xant's work, like it's crappy anyway so he'll just go ahead with the translation, and on top of that, tell Xant to translate n3914cy instead
4. War

While it's better to have frequent translation, Sousetsuka should've be more patient in the negotiation.
