Great episode; and after watching it, I can sort of understand Chloe's point of view, as in ridding her people of the whimsical behaviour of an ancient deity. However, the road to hell is paved with good intentions, so...
Also, Horo again shows what I perceive her more "human" traits, or traits one would not expect from such an ancient being. It is interesting to watch her switching between seemingly pissed off, using her moods' impact on Lawrence to cover how much she rejoices that he actually came for her, then revealing her softer side again - only to make it look as if she is toying with him as a human. Great entertainment ^^

An absolutely wunniful episode...

I loved the interaction between Horo and Lawrence. I don't care about bestiality now, I want them to make little were pups. When Horo was angry that he didn't charge in to save her I felt a twang in my heart. Horo is just too cute.

Not much to say that everyone else hasn't already said apart from who picked up her bag of grain?

I'm also pretty disappointed in Chole, I was hoping her dealings with Horo would be business related, but instead they seem to be church related. But is she wanting to throw off one yolk for another or to abandon religion instead?

I too am rather miffed at the tail abuse.

Gotta love Horo. Lawrence should have lead the charge into enemy territory to rescue her. Sneaking around just won't cut it . Someone of Horo's level should be rescued in a specular fashion. But yeah she was glad he came for her. As always a great amount of sides being shown off.

Lawrence showing that he is just a human. No eagerness to get into a fight and even shaking a bit at the prospect. Is a merchant after all.

Looks like they will have to stay low for quite a while. First thing will be an escape from the city. Then we are back on the road again.

Loved that episode very much. However I never check that whole business thing, I think I have to systematically rewatch this again, since I don't have any knowloedge about economy stuff.
And Horo's character and the interaction of those two is so amazing, I can't get tired of saying this again and again.

Watched the BSS sub of Episode 5.

Horo is just so cute in so real a manner. In a similar yet slightly different manner from Nagisa of CLANNAD, she's kawaii not in an overly-sickening way, but in a way that one could someone imagine a real girl behaving.

Well, guess you guys didn't think I was following this, did you? Well actually I was since the beginning, except I haven't had much time to spend here what with following CLANNAD and True Tears, and all the other stuff I've been up to. There's really something quite special about Wolf and Spice, not least because of the fact that it uses a fairly unique theme.

Erm....do I have to rate this? 9, I guess.

If an episode is being skipped, its probably filler and/or wont affect the series overall. Othewise we wont know whats going on when the other episodes air. Theyre doing that more frequently now. Probably to increase dvd sales. Otherwise, Otakus can just record the entire series and not bother with buying the DVD. The usual DVD extras are probably not enough.

After Horo goes 100% to scare the thugs off. Horo leaves Lawrence because now that even Lawrence saw her in her 100%, she realize that humans fear her. But! Lawrence manage to get Horo back to his side because...

But it explaines, why on most original pictures she wears those much simpler clothes. Looking forward to it, because those are much prettier in my opinion.

Rewatched episode 5, and I believe that Chloe did not know that Horo was traveling with Lawrence. Maybe Zeiren only speaked of Horo to Chloe but left out Lawrence. Otherwise Chloe's tone would be more hostile and go something like, "don't drag Lawrence down with you" or "As long as I still draw breath, I won't let you get close to Lawrence" something like that

i also dont like the title of the next ep. if she does go away they'll probably find a situation/complication where they will only be separated for a while.

True that you need to take a couple rewatches to completely take in the economic side of things. Show does make you think.

Always entertaining watching Horo and Lawrence. Just a great pair leading this show.

Really was an incredibly cute scene. You can just rewatch that many times with a smile on your face .

The title for next weeks episode leaves you a little concerned. Though maybe its just a silent farewell from the city since they are leaving, silently.....it could that.

It so true huh^^ I can just see him walking up to Horo and in an attempt to sound convincing say that all the while us the viewers and most likely Horo herself can tell its a lie and that he really just wants to stay with her cause he lov..... er um likes her^^

The whole idea of Horo leaving to go alone because the world fears/hates her is pretty common even in todays standards. Its just another reason why her character is so good and refreashing from the standards out there.^^ When you've been alone for as long as her with world passing by slowly forgetiing her its hard to see the ppl around you that actually care about you.

Darn it didn't relize subs were out last nite so I totally forgot to set up dl before I went to bed.... Now I can't watch it right when I get home from work :P

Comparing and contrast anime with novel, I believe the anime may end near the end volume 2 of the novel. Episode 6 (or maybe episode 7)should mark then end of volume 1 of the novel.

Why not? It would be boring if they just get slowly closer to each other without any conflicts arising and without one of them saying or doing something stupid. It's very much of a slice of life-series after all.

Even though I have 4 volumes of the novel (in Chinese), I do not 100% understand the words (even though I'm Chinese :heh), too chim* (hard to understand). And honestly speaking I bought them solely for the pictures.
