I've just started reading this (WN), kinda refreshing to see reincarnation themed MC who fight bare handed.

By the way, MC and the meganeko got into relationship (THAT kind of relationship) straight after her arc end (first volume?). I guess that's kind of a plus for people who are tired with the usual teen MC and heroine antics.

Also, some tidbit

- Elk, the meganeko, wasn't his first time. It was his mother, when he's 10. They only did it once though and it was because her mother was at her limit.
- He has 25 older sibling.
- Her mother is at least 400+ years old, probably about 1000.

Not all of the siblings are still alive though. The pure human ones for instance have all died of old age. Still a pretty badass family though, since they all managed to die through natural causes or are still alive. Even the weakest sibling is A-rank equivalent, and that's only because he's not interested in fighting ability.

The mother is 400+, but I doubt she is much older than that. It's stated that the high elf pair of siblings were her first children. I also doubt someone like her went so long without having a kid before that.

Minato is really maxing out his mad scientist in the last few chapters.

Think Mushoku Tensei, he's born in that world as a baby, spends his days training with his mother and researching magic while she completes the job she went there to do. (Unsealing a magical box filled with mysteries)

The details of the MC starting in the world and building up his power are mostly written here, including how his mother picked him up, or how she's not his actual mother.

They also have sex once. After he hits 15 she suddenly runs off leaving a 900 page letter and some magical equipment. Then he hops into a one way teleporter to take him to some "interesting" place.

The interesting place was in the middle of a labyrinth.

He comes across the first heroine Eru(Eruku/Elk), in the labyrinth as she's about to be raped and saves her by coincidence.

Most of this volume is related to Eru and the labyrinth he appeared in, she's in debt after buying some daggers that were mementos of her mothers, so she does some dealings with thieves and attempts to sell the MC to them thinking he might be a rich nobles child.

That fails miserably, since she generally doesn't like bad things like that she spends the rest of the volume guilt tripping over it as the MC decides whether or not judge her along with the thieves.

During the whole thieves thing the MC also defeats the hidden boss of the labrinth a giant dragon snake think (think basilik from harry potter) and makes a name/fortune for himself during the process. The volume ends with both of them fighting the thieves, Eru joining up with the MC/confessing/having sex, etc...

Spoiler for Vol 3:

This volume they're going around doing various quests/jobs, they find an egg in the mountains during one, it hatches into an owl which takes a liking to the MC.

They end up having to take a route through a forest and across some of the kingdoms knights on a rescue mission. They decide to help out with the mission, they end up saving a merchant caravan along with some adeventurers who were guarding it and escort them out of the forest.

On the way, it's found that the carriage was holding illegal honey that attracts monsters if it's not sealed airtight. As a result all of the monsters in the forest stat attacking them.

Most of the monsters are D-C rank, but a group of B rank moth/butterfly things come including an A+ rank unique breed one.

They manage to defeat those and return back to the town and all sorts of details come out, the owl was a legendary bird comparable to the phoenix and it's basically the MCs team mate now as well and can use magic, it feeds on monsters with magic power as well, so he starts feeding it B rank+ monster meat and such.

Two of the characters he gets to during this arc, one is the female knight captain of the platoon they helped, though she doesn't join their group directly they run into her often wherever they go.

The other is power ranger yellow, he's one of the adventurers that was guarding the carriage they helped, he eventually half-joins their group as something of a spy/information gathering character.

Spoiler for Vol 4:

This volume centers around a job from the MCs sister, guarding a caravan going to a valley of flowers, on the way they get to know power ranger red. She's a battle maniac A rank adventurer, negative elf.

Once they get to the valley city all sorts of events go on with dryads and spirits/natives of the forest.

It ends in a melee with tons of monsters being lead to the town and them fighting a giant vine monster as well as one of the Diabolos, one of the few monsters the MC was never able to win against during his time with his mother in volume 1.

He struggles pretty hard with the Diabolos and thinks he kills it sending it flying into a ravine, though they never confirm it a nd the volume ends with it going off alive somewhere.

The volume mostly focuses around that fight, and ends with adding power ranger red the negative elf into the group.

Koki from arifureta appears in this volume.

He's made an adventurer group called Blue Justice (lol), that goes around picking fights with legit slave traders and anyone who seems unrighteous.

The MC doesn't really have an issue with that in specific though the way he does it is overbearing without taking anything into consideration, just generally.... think Koki.

The noble in charge of the town they go to on a job makes use of Blue Justice as a scapegoat or at least tries to, he's been stealing slaves and using them as experimental bodies for creating vaccine drugs using research found in an ancient labyrinth.

So, there's all sorts of background things going on in the city they go to and they end up being involved in that after getting to know one of the slaves thanks to Blue Justice.

The entire thing ends up in a chaotic melee again, though they pretty much completely own the dark side this time having seen all the details in advance.

Finally the volume ends with the MCs sister buying the slave that they got to know along the name. Power ranger blue. She also ended up being an a fallen nobles daughter that was like a vice-captain of the kingdoms knights a while back. (Different power ranger blue from the other knight in volume 2)

Anyways, she basically joins their team as well.

Spoiler for Vol 6:

They go to the beach.

He has a job to collect rare minerals from the bottom of the ocean, and the MC can basically do photosynthesis so he can breathe underwater since last volume.

Making use of that he make a killing on rare minerals.


During that process there's various reports of ghost ships/pirates.


He gets involved in that thanks to the female knight captain he got to know during all the events since volume 2 (she was in the area during all the above events).

So, they end up on a fleet of boats fighting pirates/ghost ships.

They end up fighting against a legendary pirate turned ghost ship. They end up catching onto some background black organization that had a hand in some of the previous events on that ship.

Then a kraken appears out of nowhere and they beat it to death with laser beams and stuff.

The volume ends with a new character who was related to the legendary pirate joining their team. She is of a unique race that can transform into a cat, use psychic like magic, and use familiars.

Under the MCs advice she also makes the ghost ship into a familiar. Since technically the ghost ship is a monster, so she can summon a ghost ship as long as the MC supplies her with magic power.

I put it on hold in volume 7, though I'm still technically reading this one, they got an invitation to visit the king in the capital so he goes there to do that and meet with his other siblings in the capital.

Oh yeah and way back in like volume 2, he gets a list of like A-SSS rank monsters that if he defeats them all his mother will have his child (her words to him).

Though he basically walks out of the room the moment he hears that, it shows a list of all the most powerful monsters the adventurers guild is aware of.

The moth like unique breed that he fought in the forest was one, the giant vine monster they kill as a side in the valley is one, then the kraken is one.

Basically everywhere he goes he end up in a situation where he has to fight monsters from that list though he wasn't really intending to clear them.

There were like 10-20 monsters on it so still plenty left.


Some Extra Details:
Up to where I've read the only one he's developed a relationship with and had sex with is Eru. Though power ranger red is always pushing for it, he doesn't seem willing to give in, power ranger blue seems kind of like she'd be up for it but isn't the type to push.

The MC loves his mother but in his own words after that one time having sex, their relationship cooled down into completely maternal and he doesn't seem to have much interest in that kind of relationship with her. Though their relationship is still pretty vague(they haven't met at all since she left that letter in volume 1, though she has all sorts of people and his siblings keeping an eye on him as he goes).

Edit: also the MC is power ranger black, and Eru is power ranger green for reference.

The MC also likes to fuse with his pet owl and shoot rainbow colored laser beams out of his fingers and eyes while yelling things.

There wasn't really any monsters in the 5th volume. Though pretty much every arc results in some sort of chaotic melee with lots of running, screaming, and monsters/evil villains killing innocents and stuff. Kind of.

In a way it's a lot like power rangers actually... not really... but kind of.

Lots of WN are "power ranger" if you generalise color and fighting monster as criterion for being one.

Vol 5 is just generally cathartic to those people who rage on Kouki in the Arifureta thread(myself included). It's just one long series of the Kouki stand-in(Lute) getting taken advantage of, mocked, treated like a nuisance, and just generally owned.

Got to around chapter 100~ and just like most long running WN (and LN), the exposition narrative can get really really bad and long winded sometimes it takes like 50 lines of useless talking (or thinking) during battle. Uh hello? The enemy won't wait for like 10 minutes for you to have pleasant chats among your companion and for the novel itself, it just break the tension and believability. Write that useless shit later, at least not when MC lover scream "hurry u-" or when his greatest enemy is right in front of him (obediently waiting the author finish his 50 lines of useless trivia).

2-Can human use magic, if not does that mean the MC can use magic because of the mutation? Also did his life span also change because of it?
3-Did he make any inventions?
4- Is his sister (from vol 4) also a human, if so how old is she? And did she fall for the MC?
5-Did he cheat on his girlfriend? Or he devoted to her?
6-How powerful is the MC comparing to his mother and sibling? Dose his sibling know that he is not related to them by blood?

1. Yes, although for all intent and purpose she is his mother. Their relationship doesn't change despite what happened. Which letter?

2. They can, but it's a somewhat rare talent. The only thing that changed with his magic is Minato got all-attribute aptitude, compared to the usual 1. It's very possible his lifespan changed(either due to his mutation or Elemental Blood), but it's not a certainty yet.

3. Tons of them. I did say he was a mad scientist type, right?

4. None of the currently alive siblings are human, since they died from old age and the mother refused to have any more until Minato. The sister is a fox beastman race, and no she isn't into Minato(or the reverse). She's like 100+ years old in addition to being his sister, and she's not a weirdo like the mother. She is basically in charge of the monitoring set up by the mother so that Minato doesn't do anything too crazy, like selling superweapons or using magic harmful to himself.

5. Is it cheating if the girlfriend knows about it and tentatively gave the okay? Think of it like Arifureta, where there is one "legal wife" and an inevitable harem.

6. Still a ways to go to match up to the mother, but that's not saying much considering she is probably the strongest being in that world. Minato is stronger than most of his siblings, but we haven't seen the oldest ones fight seriously. I guess, but it's not like they would treat him differently whether they knew or not.
