Well obviously there were more flash backs this episode but at least now the grounds are set for some serious battles. Sasuke is going to utilize every amount of knowladge and power of his uchiha lineage (accepting itachi's eyes), while naruto will use all of his abilities. Im kinda interested in what that sage mode + kyuubi form was that naruto briefly displayed when talking with pain.
And oh ho ho! What a surprise to find out samehada is holding a secret! The next episode preview was almost more interesting then this episode! And whats more it showed no flash backs in it!

Sasuke smiled when he said, "Fine, I'll kill you first." He still has a sense of humor when Naruto challenges him.
It's a shame really. I'm 100% sure Naruto will always be a step ahead in training because he acknowledges the need to have a team and let them train him. Who's Sasuke going to train with? Madara? |

The most experienced ninja alive, who had the EMS, who probably collected thousands of jutsu using is sharingan for more than 80 years of his life, etc... The problem of Sasuke is that he would never accept Madara as a sensei, he's just too arrogant and stupid now to do anything smart |

Well I think at this point Sasuke doesn't care to deal with teachers. Ever since the Itachi situation he's been full out on killing those he considers to be his targets. There is no more patience left for things like lessons. If he pretty much hadn't gone blind then he probably wouldn't even be waiting for the transplants.
No shock that Naruto is just this focused on Sasuke. Pretty certain on this "we'll both die" thing. Must have forgotten the show's named after him, he isn't going to be doing any long term dying. I'm still leaning towards a late change of heart leading to a noble sacrifice from Sasuke since if Naruto seriously tries to just bring him home like nothing happened he'll be setting a flare to start up the next great ninja war. At least fewer flashbacks this time.

This week's episode was great. The flashbacks actually served a point and were relatively interesting- gah, especially the scene with Kakashi getting his butt kicked by the Ramen chick- yeah, I actually dug the flashbacks this time around.
Sure, it was still love-no-jutsu hour, but I thought it was scripted well. I found it very touching. Gah, and the end where he turned purple from the poison and Sakura was all like, "Darn it, I totally suck!", that was priceless. YOSH! Finally, a decent episode!

HI, BILLY MAYS HERE
|
Ironic that Sasuke would suggest to Naruto the very same "village hero" scenario Itachi wanted of Sasuke...And now Sasuke's so far down the deep end, he's out to kill 'em all...This is why the Uchiha can't have nice things...
Well, the Memory Corridor scenes are done with, so something can happen again...Even though I didn't mind the flashbacks, they had to stop at some point...Fanboy Naruto, on the other hand, must be stopped! Well, it looks like Danzo destroyed Shisui's eye after all, preventing Madara from gaining access to an eye with special dojutsu techniques...But it looks like Madara will just go get the Rinnegan anyway..."Like, whatever! Though Madara is still the kind of guy that can't figure out that the Nazis aren't in Germany anymore, and seems way too intent to let a full-blown Sasuke vs. Naruto fight happen as a proxy to the Uchiha vs. Senju rivalry...Of all the things in the Naruto universe that need to be let go, Madara needs to let go of this, seeing how it's many generations old and no one cares about it anymore... And man, talk about mood whiplash...The entire show has had some serious and emotional overtones, but the part with Kakashi at the ramen shop and the ending with a poisoned Naruto just totally threw me off-guard...Shippuden has always taken itself a bit more seriously compared to the pre-time skip episodes, but it's still nice to smile every now and then...
